Came here with 6 friends on a recommendation of a local we met on the tram. We had the sharing platter option. Food was amazing and also very nice service. Catered very well for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. I loved the eggplant dish and the falafel so much! Minus 1 star only because of the price. From the sign at the counter we thought it was a better value to order shared platter. The staff kept recommending to add more dishes into the shared platter, and we thought they were part of the deal. We ended up paying about $50 per person for that meal, which was more than we expected.

Fantastic place for excellent Israeli food. We had mixture of different salads and meats that brought back a lot of memories for us of living in Israel many years ago. The food was very fresh and delicious and very well presented and was all perfect. All the staff were also super friendly and professional, and made us feel very welcome. We will certainly be back again! Came back again after nearly a year, still excellent! The owner also remembered us and had a nice chat. We will continue to come back each time we're in Melbourne, definitely worth going here!

This kosher (under supervision of Australian Kosher sher) grill has some of the best schwarma and grilled chicken I have ever had. It's a casual place and gets crowded at times. Reservations are a good idea. There isn't any kosher restaurants in central Melbourne, what's called the Melbourne central business district. This restaurant and similar ones nearby seem to be the only kosher meat option. It's about 45 minutes away and accessible by tram. . I am not sure if delivery is a possibility. Check with them.

shnitzel was like an inflated dried plastic boob

crap service

israeli salad was like dried camel turd- obviously veges were a week old

chips were old and not cooked to order, looks like it was just reheated

you better say a brocha (blessing) before and after to avoid any food poisoning

if you finish your meal and make it out alive bench gomel (blessing for travelers after a long dangerous trip)

observed staff not washing hands all while touching raw and cooked meat

laffa was strechy and doughy, like a rubber band

laffa was pink and greyish -very raw and under cooked

laffa came out in under 6 minutes

a rip off galore, price not worth the portion size

way overpriced, unless you order gold flakes than your money will go south

crap service

staff needs hygiene and food handling practice

observed staff not washing hands between handling...

For me, not a good experience and I will not go back. I had gone there based on the good reviews so decided to post mine as well. All started when we had to ask for a menu after we sat down. We only understood afterwards that some dishes were not on the menu... Staff also tried to sell us the most expensive menus - even for our children despite there being a child menu. We had to ask multiple times to confirm what we had ordered and had to correct each time. Food was just average for me, which could be OK in many cases but it was way too expensive for the type of dish and portion. Also, one dish we had ordered never made it to our table but did show on the bill. When I pointed this out, staff didn't seem to care. There are too many restaurants for me to go back...

Living nearby, I've been to Laffa Bar many dozens of times. Always for a shawarma or kebab in a laffa. It's always been pretty good as a quick take-away, though its standards have slipped over the years. Tonight I had to feed 6 people. I ordered (as take-away) a meat platter for "4-6 people" ($137) plus several other items to bulk it up. The platter was expensive but I expected it would be substantial enough to feed at least 4. It wasn't. It was an enormously expensive platter that barely provided enough food for 2 people. We called the restaurant to complain. They weren't interested. Won't...
