When I was last here yes, a long time ago it was a Taco Bill and we would go quite regularly, it was good food and reasonably priced. Tonight was a very, very different story. The "Mexican Punch" was a sickly sweet cordial that would put a European Wasp in a sugar coma. It was ridiculous! We should have bailed then, but I had ordered my all time favorite, the same thing I order anytime we have Mexican, Enchilada Grande.... Big mistake... I was given a plate still scalding, fresh from the Microwave; you tell something that has been Microwaved by the outside of the meal beginning to dry and wrinkle on the outside of the mush in the middle; it was too runny to use a fork, with the exception of the outer "ring" adhering to the plate, it was so runny, formless and if not for the apparent generous dollop of some no name, "Texan style sauce" flavorless brown virtual gravy along with the most soggy spoonful of rice I gave up with the knife and fork and had to ask for a spoon! I have never managed to eat an entire main course with a spoon before.. I was wondering if they thought I had a night out from the Nursing home or had left my teeth at home? I was really hoping they would ask, "How was your meal?" I was waiting for it! They probably thought better of asking, possibly by previous respondents? Never, ever again, not even if they offered another meal by way of an appologie.. It truly was a "Dining experience," now if you will excuse me; I now have to deal with the aftermath in the...
Read moreWalking into the place it didn't look up to scratch and had an odd smell upon entry. Menus/tableware were dirty and felt very unclean. Ordered a few different things off the menu to give it a try and fair to say I was severely disappointed. Ordered the soft chicken tacos, not only were they lukewarm/borderline cold, they were soggy on the bottom and I was able to pour about a tablespoon and a half of liquid out of each one. We also ordered the taquitos and they once again were cold, stale and the chicken inside tasted and felt old. Each time the staff bought a dish out they had the oven mitts on which should have indicated hot plates, so very disappointing to find the plates were cold. This seems like the place you have to have a couple of drinks first to enjoy the good. If that. When prompted at the end of the meal to know how it was, the host was unable to take the fact that we simply didn't enjoy the meal and was unhappy with what we had received; felt pressured to keep answering as they kept asking what the issue was after stating it. They mentioned giving us a discount due to the quality only to then not actually receive that.
All in all, was told this place was good and was severely disappointed. Maybe needed to take advantage of the 1/2 price margaritas to...
Read moreWe ate here on Tuesday the 13th April. To start with we had a long hair in our nachos which we pulled out half way into our meal. We mentioned it to the staff and showed them. They offered to recook it but we figured we were already half way through so no need to waste the meal. I understand it a hair and not the end of the world but I feel more couldâve been done at the end. We were jovial and polite about it. We ordered mains. My naked beef burrito was amazing as were the tacos but our chicken enchiladas dish was less than appetizing. The chicken thigh meat was clearly grey and old. Could tell it was reheated which was disappointing as it was not a stewed chicken. It was dry and unappealing. Again we made mention to which the staff offered a free dessert or drink. We took the coke spider drink. Now I understand that things do happen in cooking and all kinds of work but upon paying I think taking the nachos and the chicken dish off the bill wouldâve been appropriate considering the issues but no compensation was given. A bit disappointing and not what I call great follow up...
