I recently visited an this restaurant for dinner and, unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. The food was bland and lacked any distinctive flavors that are characteristic of Indian cuisine. Each dish I ordered seemed to be missing the essential spices and aromatic ingredients that make Indian food so enticing. It was a letdown to say the least, as I was hoping for a memorable culinary adventure that would transport me to the vibrant streets of India. Instead, I was left with tasteless and uninspiring dishes that failed to live up to my expectations.
Adding to the disappointment was the poor service provided by the waitstaff. The waitress had a dismissive and rude attitude from the moment we entered the restaurant. She seemed disinterested in assisting us, offering no recommendations or guidance when we sought assistance with the menu. Her lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction was palpable, and it cast a shadow over the entire dining experience. It's truly disheartening to encounter such a combination of tasteless food and unpleasant service, and I cannot recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and enjoyable...
Read moreMy recent experience at Chiraag Indian & Nepalese Restaurant left a sour taste in my mouth, quite literally. Upon entering, we were greeted with hostility by the hostess, whose unfriendly demeanor made us feel unwelcome from the start. To add insult to injury, we were informed of an unsaid rule demanding a minimum spend of $20 per person to be seated, which was not communicated beforehand and is discriminatory in nature.
Hospitality is clearly not a priority here, as evidenced by the rude behavior of the staff. Instead of feeling like valued customers, we were treated as an inconvenience. This kind of treatment is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one in the service industry.
I urge potential patrons to think twice before supporting a business that prioritizes profit over basic human decency. As a consumer, I expect to be treated with respect and fairness, neither of which was extended to me during my visit to Chiraag Indian & Nepalese Restaurant. Save yourself the disappointment and find a place that values its customers as much as it values...
Read moreWish i could give negative star rating. Having eaten paneer (Indian word for cheese) my entire life I didn’t know paneer curry is like a dessert until Pushpa (waitress) at this restaurant told me. Had a terrible experience dining at this restaurant. When complained about the food, Pushpa went berserk and mentioned this restaurant caters to Australian customers, Indians account for less than 5% of their clientele and that we should go somewhere else for food if looking for Indian food. Atrocious behaviour from front staff. Even though owner offered to recook the curry, the attitude of this lady put us off and all of us left with a bad experience. Won’t recommend anyone visiting this restaurant unless you want to waste your money and face inexperienced and misbehaved staff member. Owner seriously needs to consider if he wants to keep this lady at...
