The menu whilst somewhat tattered and coffee splattered when handed to me was suitably impressive. I gravitated to the organic vanilla pancake which was exceptionally tasty and well placed to become my favourite pancake ever but as I continued to eat through, the centre of the thick delight was not as perfectly cooked as the rest of it. This prevented it from being flawless but it was pretty bloody close. The baked rhubarb in there was ingenious!
I drank the mojito glow which appealed for the coconut water, mint, lime and watermelon factor.
I also had the breakfast burrito as I love ordering this dish and quite frankly itās not on enough menus. The avocado and sour cream were on top of the dish rather than inside but the ratios were still okay although it was a little difficult to eat with the cutlery provided. A yummy combination of scrambled eggs, spiced beans and cheese. Overall I continue to be impressed by the brunch offerings of Croydon. Itās good to know locals donāt have to travel far to experience a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām all for supporting local business but I tell you the customer service I received today was so poor itās hard explain. First the young ladies looked like they were drawing straws to see who could be bothered enough to stand at the counter and take my order. We then waited 15-20 mins for a hot chocolate and a lemonade. I sat there watching 3-4 young ladies chatting away and not even knowing myself and my young son were waiting⦠when I finally stood up to ask they asked āare you rightā⦠when I explained I was waiting for a take away they pointed at it sitting on their counterā¦. I guess I was supposed to assume it was ready and also walk into their space to collect itā¦. Iām not a hater and truly wish to support local business but as a small business owner myself there was only one person in this team I would ever think of giving a job to. Such a shame, but I canāt Iām good conscious spend my money here again⦠do yourself a massive favour and go a few doors up to scented garden. Always made to feel welcome and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming here since it opened and usually the staff & service are great, but this morning I felt like I really didn't matter. I only had 25 mins (tops) to quickly have a tea and small breaky. I walked in at 8.20 and the cafe was freezing cold - it was only 6 degrees outside. Normally its nice & warm. The waiter saw me straight away and ignored me. It took 5 mins to be noticed. I ordered a pot of tea and the waiter put a menu on the table. It took 8 minutes to receive my tea, which was placed in front of me and he then walked off and ignored me. I tried to get his or somebody's attention but to no avail. The waiter came up to me at 8.45 and mumbled "Do you want to order?" and I said "No thank you - its too late for me to eat, I have to go". He replied "ok" in a disinterested tone and walked off. I won't be going there for...
