Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Place
Today, my family and I visited Cha-Adda with high hopes, as we love exploring different restaurants around Melbourne for unique culinary experiences. Unfortunately, this visit turned out to be an utter disappointment due to shockingly poor customer service.
One of the Bangladeshi waitresses displayed an unacceptable level of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Her behavior was dismissive, disrespectful, and completely out of place in any service-oriented environment, especially in a multicultural city like Melbourne where basic courtesy is expected. It genuinely ruined our experience to the point where we had no choice but to leave.
We raised our concerns with the owner, who informed us that the waitress was unwell, which was apparently the excuse for her behavior. However, this doesn't justify such an appalling attitude towards customers.
Later, we checked Google reviews and found multiple recent complaints mentioning the exact same waitress, which made us realize this wasn’t a one-off incident. Clearly, this is a recurring issue that the management has failed to address.
For a place that claims to offer hospitality and culture, this was a huge letdown. I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant until they take real steps to improve their staff’s attitude and customer...
Read moreI had the pleasure of experiencing the Iftar buffet at Cha Adda, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable meal.
The Iftar was truly impressive, featuring a great variety of traditional Bangladeshi dishes, from flavourful Chola, beguni to crispy pakoras and refreshing drinks like Rooh Afza. Every dish was cooked to perfection, with authentic spices and rich flavors that reminded me of home.
The highlight for me was the haleem—perfectly seasoned and comforting after a long day of fasting. Buffet dinner was incredibly good as-well. From the very first bite to the last, this buffet dinner was an absolute delight. Every dish was crafted with care, bringing out the richness of traditional flavors in a way that was both comforting and satisfying.
Rumna apu was incredibly attentive, ensuring that everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed. The food was constantly replenished, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
I highly recommend Cha Adda for anyone looking for a delicious and fulfilling Iftar experience in Melbourne. Will definitely be...
Read moreWell, didn’t wanted to write anything about their service but enough is enough. Can’t hold myself back now. As a customer we definitely have a right to give our opinion based on how we have been treated. Of course it may vary but YES we have had a really very bad experience with this service. Their food was awfully tasted bad. The quantity was really disappointing according their price. They do charge 4$ for the steam rice and 8$ for the polaw rice but they are using the same rice for both and when we asked SHE said “that’s how it is. They are serving this way for last 3 months, no one complained”. I mean are you serious!!!! We are all paying double and getting this !!!!! Even when we complained about some other things too she said “ it’s all her staff fault as her staff doesn’t know much about these things.” I mean you’re running a restaurant and hired someone who doesn’t know anything at all. The lady of the restaurant should learn how to train her staff too I think.
The moral of this whole story now is: If you’re ready to pay more and get less you all are welcome to this CHA ADDA but if you want to get what you paid for then...
