Chatime Broadmeadows — Restaurant in Melbourne

I love Chatime, and I feel bad for giving one star but it was well deserved. Every time I’ve been, the service was shocking. On my latest trip I was appalled. My friend and I ordered our drinks from a worker who couldn’t even crack a smile, making us feel unwelcomed to begin with. And then we had to wait approximately 30minutes for our drinks. There was two staff working, with one girl serving and one girl making drinks for 10+ customers. The serving girl did nothing to help, even when there was no customers. I come from cafe experience and was shocked at the lack of team work and knowledge. After waiting 30 mins we finally got our drinks, I was quite happy with mine, but my friend ended up throwing hers out shortly after, as it wasn’t what she asked for and the wait was too long to return. She ordered a regular Lychee black tea with Lychee jelly and asked politely for only 1/2 sugar. What she got instead was a watery tasting tea with 0 sugar and next to no lychee taste. I’ve had great experiences from this place in the past, however today was shocking. With only two people working the counter in the Boxing Day crowds the girls were flustered, drinks were messy and the experience just wasn’t good. We bought 4 drinks for $32 which is pretty crazy for drinks, but wouldnt really have been a problem if the drinks had been worth it. We asked for half sugar in each for a change and even though the sticker on the cup said 1/2 sugar, they tasted like they were even more sweet than our usual drinks, two were so sickly that my cousin and I couldn’t even drink ours. My little cousin’s mango milk tea looked like it had separated, the girl working told her to shake it, and it looked better for about 5 seconds before it just split again, she’s 11 with Celiac disease and type 1 diabetes so she was too afraid to drink hers because she didn’t want to get sick. $25 down the drain, the shop was definitely not staffed...

Chatime Broadmeadows seems to always have some expired products? Today we received a drink that left my niece vomiting rainbow jelly, twice. This isnt the first time a family member has vomited due to expired products (custard) from here. Please make sure you have timers on products to ensure they stay fresh and not out of date. Very hit or miss store. Girl also promo’d off the whole order of nearly $32 using my points without letting me know when i asked for only one thing promo’d.
