Context- 5/2/22 midday two other couples in the restaurant. We went in there with our small doggo based on that it was a dog friendly eaterie. That part was correct. Did my dog enjoy his buddychino, he appeared as if he did. That was 15 mins into our visit. After waiting another half an hour we asked where the rest of our order was and there appeared to be a disconnect between what the server thought our table was and what table she had placed the order under. It turned out that the numbers on the table were decorative, as everytime something came from the kitchen a lady would stand in the entrance and just yell out what she held in her hand. We were told "oh, ill get that." Adding to the rising anxiety we might be there for a while.
So we waited another twenty minutes to have our meal brought out. Were the crepes good? They were ok. Were they worth the hour and a bit wait for one folded crepe with lemon juice? Definately not. Id understand if the place was heaving, but it wasnt, like stated above 2 other couples we could see. In my time waiting I googled it. 3-4 mins max. I struggle to understand the time we had to wait no matter how much I think about it. Especially seeming as the crepes were not heavily decorated or complex crepes. No apologies given to us for our wait time either.
In summary, if you want to get your dog a treat and have a free afternoon off, then try here if it looks empty. Otherwise id avoid the place as you can get the same quality crepes for Humans from the mall...
Read moreThis place looks nice but on a weekday is not much different to a regular cafe with dogs allowed outside. The food was very affordable and staff friendly. They are unfortunately very understaffed and I would not leave a dog in their daycare as they are left basically unsupervised in a small room where fights were breaking out between dogs. The owner’s dog is a little reactive.
I am also not sure how legal it is to have a dog daycare room next to a kitchen.
There was only one waitress who was doing all the cooking, taking orders, serving, and standing in for the dog trainer who was supposed to supervise the dogs. They really need to hire more staff, there are plenty of people who are certified dog trainers and even just one inexperienced waitress would have fixed this.
It’s a cute place to get food for your dogs and the human food is not a big focus but that’s ok for the price. Honestly would not travel out here more than once. The crepes took well over 40 minutes to cook and bring out despite a small menu, and the food quality was still rushed even with the extra time. The salted caramel is very, very salty and both of us tried it. The chocolate should really be replaced with Nutella and that would make for a speedier service — it is very bitter/dark chocolate.
Don’t take this feedback the wrong way, the owner and waitress were very kind but with some minor adjustments they could have a packed cafe everyday...
Read moreChez Misty did an amazing job of our greyhound’s second birthday pawty.
They customised one of their existing packages to better suit us (while the functions manager was overseas - was so impressed with their service and dedication!) and had gorgeous fairy lights and decorations for then occasion - we certainly felt very special!
Marc was absolutely charming and more than willing to provide recommendations and information but wasn’t overbearing; allowing us to celebrate and enjoy one another’s company.
The food was delicious and our dog absolutely inhaled his (the French cider is a must too). The galettes did come out staggered so we didn’t all eat at once, but there were only 1-2 staff members on a quiet Friday and it was so delicious that we didn’t mind!
I love that Chez Misty is not only especially for dogs and dog lovers, but that it’s also run by dog experts, so there is nutritional information on the food also you know that while you are spoiling your dog, you won’t be upsetting their stomach! I thoroughly recommend Chez Misty to all...
