Disappointing. I’ve had food from here before and it was so yum! This time it was completely inedible, I actually had to throw it out as I was afraid it was going to make me sick. When we went to pick up our order it was obvious that there were issues in the restaurant- lots of shouting, nobody to serve us (which should’ve been a sign). The food tasted really terrible, like really really bad. I called up and said that I had ordered from them before and the food had been great, however this time something had very clearly gone wrong, while I could also still hear everyone shouting in the background. The person on the phone denied that there was any issues with our food, and denied me a refund/change of order. A bit of a shame, I understand we have difficult nights, however if you are a business selling a product and produce something that is clearly not okay to serve then you should be able to accept some responsibility/ be able to compromise with your customers. If the food was the only issue, I would be prepared to give them another chance on the point that they were clearly having a bad night. I’ve been here several times now, and it continues to impress. Both my partner and I are big fans of Indian cuisine, and after trying many places around Melbourne, we can confidently say that the chef’s chicken vindaloo here is the best we’ve had. The chicken is tender and juicy, with a rich, balanced flavor, never too salty or heavy. The spice blend and aroma are absolutely spot-on.

The place is clean, and the customer service is excellent. I also really appreciate the consistency in quality over time. I mentioned this to the staff and was happy to hear that the same chef has been with them for several years. It really shows in the food.
