Churchill Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I hardly give 5 stars, and this is only my first visit. I used to walk pass this cafe on the way to Mont Albert Station, and I wondered why it was so busy. It was closed and renovated during Level Crossing work. We lost Mont Albert Station, but this is a great find - I have never seen such beautifully presented and yet tasty breakfast. My friend and I both ordered The Churchill, she ordered Chai Tea and I ordered a latte. The serving of the breakfast was generous but not too crowded, and I love the variety. Perfectly poached eggs. Lovely warm cafe with fire place inside. There is a courtyard with just as many seats as inside. Tables for singles, couples or larger groups are available. A good selection of food on the menu with a selection of cakes from the counter as well. Some staff are friendlier than others. I rather enjoyed my smoked salmon linguine and my friend liked her open sandwich with salmon. Next time I'll try the open sandwich. Enough choices to keep coming back if you like variety.
