Clarinda Chargrill Chicken — Restaurant in Melbourne

Used to be good food years ago. Now, not so good. This is my 3rd purchase from here in the last 6 weeks. Has been average food each time. But today was a lower quality. They charge $9.90 for a chicken strip pack. I understand that wholesale costs have gone up so the prices go up, but it needs to be quality cooked food to justify the current prices. I wouldn't call the chicken a strip. It's not the size of chicken strip that you buy at a supermarket. It's bigger than a nugget but not nearly the size of a strip. The chicken was unfortunately dry and overcooked. The chips had a number of black and brown bits, some were soggy, some crispy. Tasted like the chips had been reheated. I remember when we waited 10 minutes for the food, it was much nicer back then. I would rather wait for 10 minutes and be given good food than get it in two minutes for today's quality. I use to be a regular here as a kid and i was doing Ramadan yesterday and i ordered the regular quater chicken and chips at towards 5 pm night time when iftar starts and i ordered 2 and took it home for me and my mum and the chips didnt even have much salt and the chicken was undercooked and wasnt tasty at all and we gave it to our cat and he enjoined it and ate both of them lol. They ruined our Ramadan meal and we called the owner and she was talking to my mum saying her chicken is always fresh and every day there food is cooked the same. Look you cant expect to have always the same outcome and trust your self as a business. I have been coming here for a long time but I’ll never go back after what they sold me as so called fresh cooked chicken! What ever they sold me was a chicken from either yesterday or the day before and they have re heated it ,the bones we’re not even bones they were rubbery and black! As in burnt black because this Chicken was obviously not sold yesterday and they have put it back in there ovens to reheat and sell absolutely disgusting! Would not recommend...
