Cornercaf Eltham — Restaurant in Melbourne

I Ordered the Benedict because the thought of some lovely chunks of grilled leg ham sounded appealing. Unfortunately what I got was the Temu version with a thin slice of deli ham which the manager claimed had been lightly grilled because ‘this is how their other customers like it’ I neither saw nor tasted any evidence of any grilling. It just tasted like hot ham. Very unappealing. The poached eggs were undercooked and the hollandaise had no flavour. They did offer to take it away and ‘re grill’ it but we all know what would have happened then. The management of this issue was handled very poorly by the owner/manager. Maybe it’s time to not put yourself in front of the public anymore? I’m also not sure how telling them that we have been looking for a regular cafe to have breakfast after the farmers market and this one won’t be it...

You have to order at the counter - no signs that we could see to confirm that so we sat for a while. Staff were all friendly but very busy on a Saturday, late morning. A really nice vibe sitting outside with the dog. Nobody was bothered by our giant dog standing in the middle of the seats and us having to push her out of the way because she's a stubborn great dane - everyone was so lovely.

So glad to be able to find pancakes with eggs and maple syrup - I have to custom order everywhere! The pancakes are nice but soo thick that they didn't cook properly. Eggs were perfect and I heard the bacon was good. Iced latte's are far too big though - like a milkshake glass....

Started buying coffes there as i was helping my son reno his house .Told my son since he moved in the area this was a good coffee shop.It was lunch time and i said to my son do you want a coffee he said yes and can you get me a egg bacon roll.On returning my son began eating the egg and bacon roll and said it tastes like plastic.I said give me a taste and i could not chew it.No worries when i get coffee tomorrow iwill ask for another roll. The owner refused and said i should have taken a photo.the roll was still in the bin but i wasnt going to waste my returning .But i have to thank him we now go to other corner cafe in eltham the sevice is good and...
