My group of 6 people really enjoyed the food that we managed to get here, very scrumptious. Unfortunately we left the restaurant still hungry, we had attempted to order several more items off the menu but they were sold out (tacos, patatas bravas, cauliflower, empanadas, king prawns, croquetas).
We ordered a few serves of the meatballs which were so delicious (definitely our favourite), the brie which was flavourful. We were lucky to get one cauliflower serve which was delightfully full of spices and a serve of empanadas which were good, however when we tried to order these again they had sold out. One of our group members was lucky to get the one and only taco for our table before they sold out. I managed to get one, very small, croqueta before they also sold out, it was cheesy and I could've eaten a dozen of them, so delicious. The artichoke was also very nice and we wish we'd have ordered more.
We understand the staff were very busy as the bar was packed, but most of the food didn't come out until much later. First I received my small croqueta and then the others received a serve of the kingfish, then after that it seemed like we waited a long time for more food.
Staff were friendly and apologetic when we asked when the other dishes were coming. Overall, I would go here again but maybe after eating a meal beforehand. Great place to have a couple of drinks with mates and a snack.

Read moreGiven all the comments we'd been reading, we were very keen to try this place. To our surprise, the experience didn't live up to the hype for a couple of reasons.
We ordered two "small" dishes, two "larger" dishes and a side. I put those words in quotes because the sizes at this place are far smaller than any other tapas restaurant we've ever eaten in, both around Melbourne and even throughout Spain. That's not necessarily a bad thing of course, unless you're being charged over 30 dollars for a "large" dish that is the size of an entree everywhere else.
Also, our side (which was no more than a handful of fried potatoes) hadn't been cooked properly. The potatoes were raw in the middle. When the girl serving us noticed we'd left half of them and asked if everything was ok, we told her they were raw and she said she would tell the cook. She did not tell anyone while we were still there. Whether or not it was mentioned after we left, i obviously can't say.
Aside from the potatoes, everything tasted great. Even my glass of wine was nice. Even so, was it over $140 worth of great. Absolutely not. We've eaten better (and more) food for less than that, in suburbs where you would expect prices to be steep. I'm sorry, but in the end we'd felt a little ripped off.
The "icing on the cake" was when we were asked if we'd like to leave a tip. I had to use all my willpower to keep a...

As a local of the area I am both proud and delighted I no longer need to travel to the city to find great tapas.
sidenote - the bar is small so to fit your group I highly recommend sticking to a smaller group of around 6 and booking ahead. The outdoor area is undercover and is quite delightful,...
