Could not believe such a huge venue was so packed. The food came incredibly quickly, literally in less than ten minutes our breakfast had arrived! What I was less than impressed with though was the inconsistency of plating. Two of us ordered the crushed avocado and my dish had far less cherry tomatoes on the plate (yes I counted them). It was also only one piece of bread which seemed disproportionate to the avocado serving. I did enjoy the dish itself nonetheless. The girls then ordered hot chocolates so I decided to have a brownie instead. The house made brownie was humongous but completely devoid of flavour which was devastating when you splurge only to waste your calories. This disappointment was even more compounded when we got the bill and I realised said brownie was like $10, what on earth brownie costs that much- I expect it to be served with ice cream and gold leaf at that price point particularly given I could barely taste the chocolate 👎🏼

I was really looking forward to visiting third chapter today. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and I had saved this spot on my Google Maps for a while. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. While the coffee and breakfast were ok, everything else was far from it. Our table was dirty and hadn't been wiped down, causing the menu to stick to it. The glasses they brought with the still water were dirty, and so were the sharing plates. I informed a lady in the kitchen, who was changing the trash bag at the time, about the dirty dishes. She handed me new dishes, but her hands were dirty from handling the trash. To top it off, the toilets were in a bad state as well. I usually give 5-star reviews as a Google Guide, but I can't overlook the hygiene issues here. Sadly, I can't recommend this place to anyone and won't be returning. It's a shame because the food and coffee were good, but cleanliness is crucial.

We are a brunch family and experts at the smashed avocado scene. Recently we went to Third Chapter after changing from The Common which I didn't like. We sat in outside in the autumnal sun surrounded by dogs, friendly people and good. The waitress (wish I got her name) was fantastic and so helpful. Service was good considering how busy they were. Drinks in say 5 minutes. Food in 15 after ordering. Fresh wholesome food. The big breakfast I saw two guys eating was huge. Then today I took my daughter here and we had the most lovely saganyaki with figs plus the 600grams of chicken wings and two iced chais. Everything was lovely. This place has found a great formula for attracting a variety of people. Good takeaway, cakes and slices. Dine inside or out. Dietaries catered for. Good parking which is free. Wheelchair friendly. Toilets are clean. High chair is available. Highly recommend.

I usually only ever write reviews when I am really happy with a restaurant but I was so disgusted today that I feel this restaurant needs to hear this.

We arrived for lunch in August 2024 and the first thing we noticed is that there is a bottleneck where you walk in and where people are trying to pay and leave and as a result we were forced to stand In the narrow walkway to the door. This is also where the staff need to walk to take food outside and our first impression was of one of the staff impatiently rolling her eyes at us and rudely saying excuse me to get to the door. We did not actually create the bottleneck and perhaps the restaurant should address this.

We were then seated without a smile or a greeting and the staff member who served us just looked desperately unhappy the whole time. We were polite easy customers without any special requests but she was just so rude and abrupt. All three of us commented on her demeanour and then watched as she sighed and rolled her eyes at other patrons in the restaurant when they asked for anything. All would be forgiven if the food was great however 3 out of 4 of our meals were cold and the tacos which were advertised as three different flavours all just had the same mayonnaise on top which made them all taste the same. We were planning to have more drinks and dessert however no one came back to us to offer further service. Missed opportunity for upsell and further revenue. We would have easily spent more than $80 per person but just quickly ate and left in the end spending an average of $35 per person.

You need to lift your game third chapter with so many other really good restaurants in the area. Very very...

I went here last Saturday the 6th of September, and prior to this experience this was one of my favourite restaurants ! I came in at around 1:00PM and sat at an inside table. Atmosphere was nice and the venue is very nice, the server who took me to my table and served me was very rude though. She was not kind, she didn't smile or anything of the sort which left me feeling a bit disappointed. I was then served by someone else who also had the same energy, and was a bit disrespectful in her attitude towards me. Me and my group got loaded fries and I got a chicken, cheese and avocado Focaccia, which tasted amazing. When i was ordering, the server very slyly let me know that I couldn't make any changes to the Focaccia as it was pre-prepared. I thought the food was great, its always been great. We then payed, and the lady at the cash register was lovely. The following day, I started getting stomach pains, and in result I received food poisoning from the chicken in the Focaccia. I had to take off absolutely everything I had planned last week due to the Salmonella I got from this establishment. I ruled out everything else I could've gotten it from, and it was definitely from Third Chapters chicken cheese and avocado Focaccia. I'm overall quite disappointed at the service I received, and the fact I was bed ridden for an entire week...

When coming out of the ladies toilet a door adjacent came open as I went to push on the door and some cleaning equipment fell out causing me to trip, nearly falling over jarring my body. I tried to close the cupboard but couldn’t as a broom was jammed. I told staff so they could fix this. The waitress said nothing and went to investigate. I didn’t want to make a big deal as I was meeting someone I hadn’t seen in a long time and didn’t want to ruin the lunch. However I was in pain. Not one staff member enquired nor apologized. As I was worried by the staff attitude ( couldn’t care less) I emailed management as I wanted to ensure they knew so this couldn’t happen again to someone else. I let them know I was in pain and could not bend down without pain. I’ve not heard a response from the email so I can only assume they couldn’t care less also. To me it is basic customer service or even basic human behavior to show some care and compassion of which I received none at the time of the incident and after. I don’t know if management has changed as I’ve been here many times and I also found it to be very grotty, the staff don’t seem happy and the stack of high chairs in the hallway is also an accident waiting to happen. So I have contacted them as they asked below and 10 days later no response. They...
