Small Café in Monbulk selling simple meals and takeaway. When we visited on a weekday lunch, during the Corona Virus isolation period in-store dining was not available. We were able to eat on the footpath tables though and as it was a lovely sunny day it was no burden. Pies, Dim Sims, schnitzel burgers, foccacias, wraps, etc. We ordered home made pies and sausage rolls. Wow, absolutely amazing. The pies were massive with a crispy thin pastry and a delicious meaty beef filling. We tried the onion & tomatoe and the bacon and cheese beef pies. Each was delicious with the supplied dishes of thick tomatoe sauce. The sausage roll was also nice but the pies were the winners. Coffee afterward was dissapointing, my decaf mug of latte was very weak on the espresso, almost no taste or aroma. Maybe the beans weren't fresh or not enough coffee in the pour?
