I had an order made online for pickup. When I arrived for pickup, nothing was ready and the items I had ordered were not available. the one Teen girl working told me they were very busy yet when I walked in she was texting on her phone. Nearly every item I had ordered that said was available online was not available including the valentines 6 pack special. No one contacted me to let me know not to bother. When I got there I had to make do with what was left, not really many items to my liking. A suggestion, Have more than one person working and make sure they are not just a poor teen girl who is not adequately trained 2: when ordering online and told the item is ready and you turn up and nothing was even packed and everything was gone how about you have a way of letting your staff know to contact us beforehand. This is the worst online/instore experience ever and the sheer incompetence is extraordinary.
EDIT: What a monumental scripted cop-out. I will expect some recompense such my time and money and petrol wasted. your scripted apology means NADA
EDIT: Refund given but whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth I really hope they sort out their systems, hire more staff and train...
Read moreI think the only thing I could really fault the store on were the donuts themselves. Daniel's Donuts is obviously producing donuts at a large scale. Their donuts weren't disappointing by any stretch, but they weren't 5 star worthy. Aside from that, the store is located just inside the entry way to the shopping centre. They have a wide selection of donuts. I arrived at 3pm, and they still had plenty available. This was during lockdown (donuts are my mental wellbeing food), so your mileage may vary. Their staff were friendly, but direct - there was a constant steady stream of people and they didn't wish to fall behind. I barely needed to interact with the staff, which honestly is usually a good sign. There was signage for single donuts and 6-packs. I think a 4-pack would be a good medium. The packaging I received for the 6 pack was of quality. The food was very affordable; 6 donuts for $15. Crazy prices for a Melbourne donut shop. All in all, a fine experience. Simply the donuts themselves weren't that beautiful, amazing, delicious crisp fluffiness you get from exceptional donuts - something I don't think this...
Read moreVisited the Carnegie store on a Sunday night a few weeks back and picked up a six-pack of donuts - despite looking aesthetically pleasing, they unfortunately were rather dry :(
The texture of the crumb really lent on the stale side. I've read a few other reviews on here which also noted the dryness of the donuts, itâs a shame to see they havenât taken the feedback on board.
For reference, I purchased a mix of refrigerated donuts + refrigerated vegan donuts.
The updated box design for the six-pack is nuance. The long packaging (which is one donut wide and 6 donuts long) is awkward to carry/place in the footwell of car/put in the fridge/. A prompt return to the older packaging seems necessary.
On a more positive note: i) great service from staff member when ordering ii) good to see a variety of vegan options iii) reasonable price (6...
