Domino's Pizza Derrimut — Restaurant in Melbourne

Entered the store to a single person working the kitchen and an unattended oven at the front with food piling up indicating that it had been unattended for some time. A few minutes later another staff came out whom i told i was there for my online order. They told me that everything was in the oven and would be out in a few minutes.

The kitchen staff that was making the pizza then came out to answer the phone while wearing the same gloves they were making the pizzas with, before returning to the kitchen with those same gloves.

After some time had passed with again an unattended oven up front I came to the counter to check on my order. At this point I noticed there were two pizza boxes on the floor in front of the oven which seemed to have fallen over

The kitchen staff walked up to attend to me before picking up the two boxes and placing on the side. I assumed to be thrown out. They then had a look around before taking some of the items from the oven and boxing them up.

The second staff member who previously attended to me then came back up front and took over packing the order. They then grabbed those two boxes from the side which had previously been on the floor to which I notified them that those boxes came from the ground. The kitchen staff then confirmed with the front staff it was indeed on the floor but that it was "okay", seems they were intending to serve this from the beginning and would have happily done so had I not brought to their attention that this was inf act not okay. They offered to have the pizzas remade. At this point the order was already 30 mins passed the initial ETA.

I dont know if it is due to being understaffed, or if it is negligence and carelessness but the experience tonight was very poor. It's evident staff haven't had proper training in food handling safety and I'm certain I've witnessed multiple violations of hygiene & sanitary practices tonight. Hopefully this feedback is actually taken seriously as this is a law suit...

I loved Dominoes pizza as they always catered to my needs. But last evenings incident made me feel that their service has deteriorated. I am allergic to egg and everytime I order with Dominoes I specify my allergy and confirm with them that my order does not contain egg at all. The same was done when I ordered vegorama, chicken peri peri pizzas and korean chicken wings yesterday. The man on phone confirmed there is no egg in the pizza. But, now I think he was not well informed, neither about the severity of allergies nor the ingredients in his own menu. There was egg in the pizza and I had an allergic reaction to it. Luckily, I am safe now. However, when I called back this man said we use mayonnaise with the peri peri sauce upon inquiry about the ingredients of the pizzas. Then when we mentioned I had egg allergy. He changed his statement saying no no we just use peri peri sauce. Then said there nay be egg like ingredients in the white sauce used in vegorama pizza but u dint eat that. I was taken aback that he was so insensitive to someone's allergy. He dint have anything to say and hung up. Sad to say Dominoes will lose customers cause of this kind of mis-informed and insensitive service. I hope they improve their service. I had ordered at the Derrimut, Vic, Australia...

I eat gluten free, but I know that they cook regular pizzas on the same trays as the supposedly gluten free pizzas.this is against food regulations and pizza hut could be fined. It is very serious for us Coeliac people to have contamination from gluten. This is not acceptable because I get very ill if I consume gluten. Pizza hut needs to be Coeliac disease food regulations approved. The cooking of gluten free pizzas has to be prepared in a separate area with all utensils and trays kept seperately. If pizza hut are not Coeliac food regulations approved then you are receiving your customers to claim your pizza is gluten free. We will not buy pizza hut anymore because we don't trust you. The staff have no idea when I have asked questions about how gluten free pizzas are cooked. They look at me like I'm crazy !. Education about this is vital for all pizza hut employees. I will be contacting the food regulations board to report vyour company along with other takeaway outlets. This is serious...
