Yo, let me tell you 'bout a spot, called The Dirty D, Where the atmosphere's hype, with white Aussie glee, Walked in, saw the crowd, it was wild and free, A pub so live, it's where you wanna be. Steak on point, they didn't mess it up, cooked it right, Every bite a delight, had me feeling alright, But my mate, he tried the calamari, a sad plight, Tasted too processed, left him feelin' uptight. The Dirty D, where the vibe's so tight, Great Aussie blokes, keepin' the night bright, Food's a mix, but the steak's a highlight, So much fun, it's like a party every night. Layout's dope, with pool tables and dart board, Outdoor areas, where conversations soared, Big screens for AFL, we were never bored, Attentive staff, keepin' us all floored. So if you're lookin' for a spot to chill, With that Aussie vibe, givin' you a thrill, The Dirty D's the place, where dreams fulfill, Just watch out for that calamari bill.

I took my partner to the Dorset last night and it was not overly impressive. When we arrived at the bistro at 5:30pm it was not very busy, but there were a few diners in one area, we requested to be seated away from that group of people but was refused (stating that everywhere else was "booked") - we decided to go to the bar area for a bar meal, I had a porterhouse steak (pepper sauce) with chips and salad, it was cooked OK, however, it did not have the gristle trimmed so it was not flat and therefore inconsistently cooked, my partner had the parma and it appeared to be deep fried (see picture), the salad consisted on 1 piece of tomato, 1 sliver of cucumber and the rest was cabbage and lettuce...but the worst of it all, they put the meats ON the chips so they were all soggy. We wont be returning for a meal to this place.

Gosh this place has changed since I came here in the 90’s. My parents brought me here today for lunch and they come every ten days or so for a meal that they always say is superb. Being in their mid 80’s and therefore, seniors, the food is reasonably priced. We had a Caesar salad, warm chicken salad and fish tails with vegetables. Plus my parents both had apple crumble. I was surprised by the breadth of the menu and there are an amazing amount of choices. Dietaries are well catered for. During the day it seemed to be full of older people and I’m 57 and felt the youngest. Nicely decorated for Christmas including a visit from Santa. Wheelchair friendly. Very friendly in fact because many visitors are with walking frames and crutches. Kid friendly. Good parking. Well worth a visit and try out the food.

Thank you for making our son's wedding such a special and memorable occasion. From the moment we arrived to book 12 rooms for our guests, your staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. The reception team did a fantastic job of thoughtfully arranging rooms to accommodate our elderly relatives and keep large family groups together. While the hotel may have a charmingly dated aesthetic, the rooms were spotlessly clean, peacefully quiet, and had all the amenities needed for a pleasant two-night stay. We especially appreciated the ample free parking right on site.

The real star of our experience was the exquisite wedding dinner for 30 of us the night before the big day. We were delighted to have a lovely private area all to ourselves, where we savoured a piping hot, utterly delicious meal served promptly and professionally.

We were also impressed by the incredible value offered at the Dorset Gardens restaurant, particularly the generous senior meals which were as affordable as they were magnificent. Your gracious housekeeping staff helped put everyone at ease as we prepared for the wedding, warmly wishing us a wonderful day. And we're so grateful to your beer garden team for jovially looking after our boisterous bride, groom, and guests on their return from the wedding.

You didn't just provide a venue prior to attending our wedding - you created an experience that we'll cherish forever. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making our stay so extraordinarily special with your warm hospitality, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Bravo to your entire team for a job exceptionally well done! Troy, Jade,...

I would have written an email so you could have responded privately but you don't provide an email address on your website. I want to start off by saying that the meals were delicious, no complaints there. The issue I have is with the size of the meals. They are BEYOND enormous and almost impossible to finish. The kids porterhouse steak meal was as big as an adults meal and my 10yr old son didn't have a hope of getting through that. My husband and I also couldn't finish our meals and even the seniors meals were big and again our parents couldn't finish them. We asked for some containers to take our substantial leftovers home and were told you don't do containers or take home. People are struggling so much with cost of living prices at the moment that they're having to choose between putting food on the table or keeping a roof over their heads and your business is throwing out a disgraceful amount of good food! I think it's an absolute travesty and an insult to all the people doing it so tough. We are hounding supermarkets to stop the massive amount of food wastage that occurs but here you are throwing out so much food and you should be ashamed. I've no doubt you'll try to justify this by saying it's a health hazard to let people take food home but it's a weak argument when so many restaurants. cafes and other establishments don't have an issue giving containers to take food home. If it's that much of a risk for you though and that is your reasoning, then for the love of God make your meals half the size. It would take a mighty big eater to finish a plate that size and we already have enough issues with obesity in this country. You need...
