Health and Safety issue, Untrustworthy, Unreliable. The statements in Craigieburn Dosahut's response to Lakshmi Gopinathan's review is not complete (skipped important information) and not true. I will write exactly as happened.. Check your camera recordings and it will match. When I came for collection, Lady in the counter told me that family veg biriyani is not ready and asked me to wait. So, I was just standing to the side of the counter. 10 minutes later (Yes, 10!!!), I saw a man returning family biriyani pack. The lady in the counter apologised and gave a different family pack to him. After he left, the lady took the returned biriyani towards the back of counter and within few seconds (Yes, few seconds only), she came to counter and said, my biriyani is ready. She said NOTHING ELSE. I asked her,"Is this pack, the returned one from the man just left?" She said, "yes", (Only after I asked, she told me. Earlier, She just pretended that she was bringing the freshly packed biriyani from kitchen!! Not trust worthy!) I said,"Its not correct and its health and safety issue esp in covid times". She replied,"We gave your pack to that other man by mistake. He just kept it in his car and went for other shopping. I gave him a call to return the pack and he did. He didn't touch the food." I can't believe what she said. She didn't even know the basic protocols on returned food and didn't care about health and safety of other customers. I said her, "I am disappointed to hear what you said. I can accept returned toy but not food as its health and safety issue. I don't want this food and want a new one. She took the pack back into kitchen. Not sure what happened there.... She came back after few minutes with a pack. I checked and the pack didn't seem to be new. I told her that I m unable to trust this is a new pack as the aluminium foil inside cling wrap was torn on one side and by the way Al foil was crushed along edges (You know what I mean!). But, She said its newly packed and hence it took 5 minutes. With the confusion, I took the food home. As soon as I came home, my wife asked me to talk to the manager about it. Here is the interesting feedback from the manager. I explained the manger what happened and asked,"Is it acceptable what the lady did and asked him what was the protocol for returned food. He spoke to the lady and then called me to say," my staff wont tell lies. The food was just in the other man's car and unused. So, she gave it to you:". I was surprised that even the manager tried to justify initially knowing the returned food protocols. Then, I specifically asked," The food was outside dosahut for 10 minutes with someone else. Do you give that food to other customer or what do you do?. He then, replied that it goes to bin and then FINALLY!!!!! apologised for what happened. When I was still on the call, "my wife called me to dining and showed chicken piece!!!!! in veg biriyani. I am not making it up. Please see the video/image attached for yourself. I went to Dosahut to talk about both these issues. Started with chicken in veg biriyani. I knew the piece shown in the video was on top of the pack when I left home, but it got mixed up as I was carrying the family pack vertically in carry back." I didnt have time as I had to buy lunch for my family from other place. Also, I wanted to focus the discussion on returned food issue as it was more serious. So, I told the manager to look for himself later for the chicken piece and continued talking about the returned food incident. The manager said sorry and offered to pack a new biriyani.I said I don't want but got the refund for biriyani. I have attached proof for chicken in veg biriyani. @Craigieburn Dosahut. Do you want the proof for returned food given to us? Well! you can also look at your camera recordings. You have stated in your response that you incurred a loss by throwing food in the bin. I think you still don't understand the seriousness of this issue!!! its HEALTH & SAFETY ISSUE! I hope you follow safety protocols in the future. But you lost 1...
Read moreI recently dined at Dosahut craigiburne that left an unforgettable impression on my taste buds. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in for a culinary adventure. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and a beautiful interior design. To start, I ordered the chef's special Chicken 65 dry.The flavors and textures complemented each other beautifully, and it was clear that the dish had been crafted with care and attention to detail.
For my main course, I decided to try the restaurant's signature dish Chicken biryani, The Biryani had a wonderful aroma and was beautifully presented with fragrant, long-grained rice, and a generous portion of tender, juicy chicken. The rice was perfectly cooked and had absorbed all the flavors of the aromatic spices, which included saffron, cinnamon, and cardamom. The chicken was marinated in a blend of spices and cooked to perfection, making it incredibly tender and flavorful. The dish was accompanied by a side of raita, a yogurt-based condiment that added a refreshing contrast to the flavorful spices of the biryani. The raita was perfectly seasoned and added a creamy and cooling texture to the dish. One thing that I particularly appreciated about this Biryani was the perfect balance of spices. It was not too spicy or overpowering, but instead had a perfect blend of flavors that tantalized the taste buds without overwhelming them. Overall, I would highly recommend this Biryani dish to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious taste of Indian cuisine. The quality of ingredients, careful preparation, and perfect balance of spices make this Biryani a true standout dish that is sure to leave you satisfied and craving for more.
Finally, for dessert, known as boondi laddu, and I must say that it was an absolute delight to the taste buds. The boondi laddu was beautifully presented, with small, round balls made from chickpea flour, soaked in a sugar syrup and garnished with a sprinkle of crushed nuts. The texture was perfect, with a slightly crispy outer layer and a soft, gooey center that was full of flavor. The sugar syrup used to soak the boondi balls had a perfect balance of sweetness, and it was clear that only the highest quality ingredients had been used to make the dish. The crushed nuts added a delightful crunch to the laddu, which was a perfect complement to the soft and chewy texture of the boondi balls. One thing that I particularly appreciated about this boondi laddu was the perfect balance of flavors. It was not too sweet, but instead had a perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors that tantalized the taste buds without overwhelming them. Overall, I would highly recommend this boondi laddu to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Indian dessert.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The food was expertly prepared, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable...
Read moreBEWARE PATHETIC SERVICE : What a pathetic service at DOSAHUT CRAIGIEBURN. Had a very bad day because of them. I ordered veg biriyani through Doordash and when i received the Food Ready alert I went for pickup and found food was not ready. While I was waiting there another person came for pickup, he picked up his food, left and came back after 10 mins saying the order was wrong. The staff in the counter took it back from that person and gave it to me saying the order got swapped. I refused to accept the food which was given to another customer. The staff simply took the food package inside and came out in 2 secs and gave it back to me. I again refused saying I need a freshly packed food. She went in again and brought back the pack after 10 mins. Even though I was not sure,I still brought it home. There came another surprise, there was shredded chicken pieces in veg biriyani. What on earth are these people thinking? Pathetic and Disgusting service ever. TO DOSAHUT CRAIGIEBURN OWNER - I can sue you for what you did to me today. Go and learn the basics before starting a restaurant. You cant get away with your "sorry" after ruining my day. Will never recommend you guys to anyone or will come back. SHAME ON YOU FOR RUNNING AN AWEFUL BUSINESS! UPDATE after owners response: I have video and photo proofs for chicken pieces in your veg biriyani. And you have just lost your regular weekly customer (even though I had small issues with your service before). But what happened today is UNACCEPTABLE and thats why I am enraged to write this review even though I know its such a waste of time. Ofcourse you need to pay my money back if I bring back your disgusting food. And you sent me the same pack returned by your another customer because the food was not hot after your drama of making me wait for 10 mins. Shame on you for not accepting yours and your staffs mistake. May...
