There were quite a few issues during our visit. First, I noticed red marks on the inside of the fridge door, which was concerning. I’m not sure if it was food residue or something else, but it didn’t look great from a cleanliness standpoint.
The menu prices are misleading. The only place where the prices are updated is on the window outside, but the paper menus they hand to customers still show the old prices. For example, “Deal Two” is listed as $25 on the paper menu they hand you but actually costs $28 (displayed with a permanent marker on the store window pointing to the car park) It would be helpful if they updated all their menus to avoid confusion.
I also noticed that the place next door has similar deals but is only $1 difference on most items, yet their shop was a lot cleaner inside. If Drips Pizzeria raised their prices just to match competitors, it’s a shame, because they’d probably be making more money if they had kept their original pricing and focused on improving service and cleanliness instead.
Speaking of service, it wasn’t great. The girl taking our order was distracted, picking at her chin, and paused midway through my order twice to listen to what coworkers and other customers were talking about in another language. I also stood in front of her for ages while she ignored me to focus on conversations around her.
Food-wise, the chips were overdone and crunchy, which we actually liked, so no complaints there. The seasoning was great, though a tad salty. One of our kebabs was poorly wrapped, which made the filling fall out, a bit soggy, but the flavour was alright.
However, the sauce tub was ridiculously small for an extra $2, and the garlic sauce had a weird taste to it and very watery. Every time we dipped our chips, the sauce would spill everywhere because it was so runny. Definitely not worth the extra charge.
Also, I’ve noticed they call negative reviews “fake” instead of accepting criticism and improving. They even claim to cross-check names in their system. Not everyone pays with a card or has their info on record. Instead of discrediting complaints, they should focus on fixing the issues people are pointing out.
Overall, the place has potential, but they really need to improve cleanliness, menu accuracy, service quality, and food presentation and maybe take feedback seriously instead of trying...
Read moreThe worst cafe that I have ever found and I don’t recommend. The owner is giving fake excuses, uber eats allocate 2-3 deliveries at one time if they are in one location. So, it is better that you don’t explain me the uber eats rules. We got a big insulated bag in our car and we never provide cold food to the customer and due to that we got 99% satisfaction rate. So stop make excuses. If you got balls, accept your mistake. Seriously hell and big no to this cafe because the owner is a liar. Me and my partner was doing uber eats together and we got 2 deliveries at one time on one uber account so, we both went together to pick up the order. However, the food was not ready and We updated on the app. The staff was so rude, they asked us to cancel the second order because they didn’t want to have penalties and when my partner refused to cancel the order, they started yelling at us and this behavior is not at all acceptable. And I know what will be your reply that you will contact uber and will complain or whats so ever. Just try to accept your mistake. I read your reviews, if someone writes bad about your food, you just write it as fake, so I think you are not right always. Excuse me Owner, I don’t have a uber eats account only my partner has that one. Even though, I am also not having a license. So better you should tell imaginary stories in the comment section. And my partner had two orders in same direction and you people didn’t made food on time and to avoid penalties, you asked us to cancel the order and in return you are blaming us. Wow!! I don’t have a vic roads account how come, I would have a uber one. Please stop making imaginary stories, try to accept your...
Read moreA few days ago my partner (order will be under Eleni, not Shane, so don't try that "nothing under your name" garbage) ordered two spaghetti bolognaise, one regular and one gluten free. When they arrived, they were both identical, with no indication of which one was gluten free.
We then called up to ask if one was gluten free, and if so how we could tell. We were told that they had no gluten free pasta, and just decided to make it with regular pasta and not inform us. Lucky we asked, and didn't just trust that the food we were given was what we ordered or I may have ended up extremely sick.
As if this was not bad enough, they then offered to deliver a "free" gluten free pizza. However, when the pizza arrived, the delivery driver then demanded we give back the second pasta (again, a pasta that we had paid for, that my partner could still have eaten the following day) to swap it for the "free" pizza (Not exactly free if I had to trade it for the pasta which cost more than the pizza) all because you neglected to inform us that you were out of gluten free pasta, and instead decided to serve me something I am allergic to in the hopes I just wouldn't notice.
What they intended to do with the pasta we gave back to them is anyone's guess. I only hope they didn't serve up this spare hours old pasta to the next unlucky person that ordered a spaghetti...
