I'm not a big review writer. I guess when you've been craving Chinese food all week and then order from a well rated place and then are severely let down, that will motivate you to write a review.

First of all the two stars are for all of the correct food being in the order and the really kind delivery driver who was really apologetic about it taking 75 minutes for the delivery. Thumbs up for kindness.

We ordered spring rolls, pork dumplings, BBQ pork buns, nasi goreng and sweet and sour pork. I'm going to ignore the fact that everything was cold because perhaps we were just the last stop on a sequence of 100 car orders.. Let's get started with the springs rolls, not too bad! The pastry was nice. The pork dumplings were nice too. The BBQ pork buns were mediocre but that's fine.

The nasi goreng was really off tasting. I love all flavours, really, I'm quite open minded. But I really don't think that before, during and after taste was what this restaurant had in mind. My husband says this part is harsh. He didn't mind it.

The sweet and sour pork was okay, the fried pork part was definitely edible. However, I've never had a sweet and sour sauce that was the consistency of water. Very troublesome when trying to coat the pork... Anways,...

I recently dined at duck duck kitchen and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is inviting and beautifully decorated, creating a perfect setting for a delightful meal.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend the mud crab – it was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful.

The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They were more than willing to accommodate special requests and ensure that every detail was taken care of.

One of the highlights was the attention to detail in both presentation and taste. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. The balance of spices and ingredients was spot on, making every bite a pleasure.

It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves Chinese food or is looking to try something new. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!

Feel free to personalize it with specific details about the restaurant...

Let me preface this by saying the food and general service were okay. Subpar but I could tell many of the servers were just starting and a bit nervous, and the restaurant itself is fairly new.

What ruined our experience, however, was the hostess. While eating our dinner she interrupted us to fawn over, touch and even kiss our baby without our permission. This is NEVER OKAY. My wife and I are socially anxious first parents and left feeling horrible for not intervening. We didn’t imagine at the time that she would break those boundaries until she had.

This, combined with the fact that we didn’t get served everything we ordered, clinched it. Oh, and they still charged us for the items we didn’t receive. We didn’t challenge the final price because we fled before our baby was molested again.

We won’t...

Service is outstanding with pleasant conversation, explaining different dishes, check ins without it being too much. The food has so much flavour with each mouth living an incredible taste. No flavour over powers another. The staff treat you like family it honestly was a completely different experience to most places. The restaurant is outstanding clean and the music is perfect volumne and style making you relax. Decor is classy and simple. Thank you fur a beautiful evening we will return. Dare to say best steam fish in Melb, even better than those restaurants in Chinese populated suburbs or Chinatown. The fish is steamed to a perfection with the authentic steam fish soy sauce. The beef char hor fun is soooo good too. Have "wok hei". Very hard to find in restaurants nowadays. Last but not least, $8 for a glass of chivas, what a bargain. Will come back and try the Japanese cocktails too next time.
