Absolutely disappointed with the cake for my son’s Christening. I ordered a blanket cake as advertised on the website, which has a cute teddy bear and baby booties. It looked so special and perfect for my baby boy. When a staff member took my order, I felt very rushed.. Just a few scribbles and a deposit transaction, nothing more to it. I was told there won’t be a teddy bear included because “they don’t have them anymore”, and that the booties may not be possible to make… and if they are used, they won’t be the same as pictured. I was assured that they will look “nicer” than the ones pictured online, which were “old fashioned” and not modern (irrelevant as I was going for a vintage style cake). I asked if the blanket can be made into the shape of a heart, which was also shown in the image online, and sprayed blue, but was told there’s “no guarantee” that it will come out like that, it’s simply a drape and a spray, that’s it. I was also told if I want a teddy bear then I need to purchase my own and bring it in, otherwise leave it without. I settled with this hoping that they will make it look nice, and confident that I can just find a teddy bear to buy from Kmart or a $2 shop as they suggested. Really, I should be compensated at the least or offered a discount because it is a very compromised cake. If this cake is not available then it should be removed from the website all together as it is false advertising. I looked everywhere for a teddy ornament suitable for a cake feature, and I can assure they are definitely not easy to find. My sister even went to various op-shops and antique stores trying to find one. As the date drew closer, I became disheartened, until I finally found a teddy that my mother had given me. I felt this would be nice to add as she has passed away and sadly never got to meet my baby boy. So off I went to bring the teddy bear in, hoping they can make it work. A few days later when I went to pick up the cake, I was shocked that the icing was mint green instead of what should have been a bright blue edge. I also asked if I could have stars and hearts which was dismissed as well, as I could only get “one or the other”, and the hearts were pastel light blue. The theme for the baptism was royal blue and gold. I was told that the royal blue “doesn’t go” on the cake because it’s for a baby, and therefore only baby blue should be used. The writing on the cake was also grey and not gold like it should have been as I requested it on the order. I immediately alerted the staff that the cake colour was wrong, and asked nicely if it could please be fixed and she said it can be re-sprayed. The manager then came out and said that it could make it look worse, and warned that once it’s been sprayed over, it can’t be undone. I insisted to go ahead, (as the mint green looked awful and I wanted it gone)… basically her response was “Well it’s up to you, I don’t care… it’s your cake” going on about how she’s been doing cakes for over 50 years etc. I’m a strong believer that in a professional service, the customer is always right. If someone comes in asking for a rainbow alien cake, or argues that the sky is green, and the water is red, just make it that way, it’s their order. Seriously, I should not have to convince or persuade a professional cake maker to fulfill what I’ve ordered. My son is only baptised once. I don’t get to go back and do it again. It is such a shame because I’ve loved coming here for cakes. The staff here are not friendly, and I don’t appreciate the rude and arrogant attitude displayed towards any customer, whether it’s me or anybody else: As a mum I have enough things to do, let alone search for cake decorations for a cake that I’m not baking myself and drive back and forth to drop it off. I’m using my petrol and time without even an offer to compensate or discount? I regret ordering my son’s cake here and wish I had gone elsewhere, as the entire experience had left me feeling so distressed and hugely disappointed. I will never return for a custom cake again....

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Please like and share. I need all the support I can get. Companies should not be able to get away with horrible customer service. On Friday the 17th of April at 9:30AM I went to pick up my novelty cake from Eiffel Tower Cakes in Tullamarine vic, my wife ordered a coca cola novelty cake for my 30th birthday party. After waiting around for 45mins after the arranged pick up time which was confirmed a few days before we were presented with a cake that was discoloured (orange instead of red), cracked EVERYWHERE, and was A LOT smaller than originally explained..... to sum up, a very sloppy finish and very minimal attention to detail!!!!!!

After leaving, in complete disbelief and extremely disappointed, we turned back. Ninette, who we originally placed the order with, was outside and my wife kindly asked "can we talk somewhere private?" (to give her the benefit of the doubt and not to give other customers a bad impression of their quality of cakes). Ninette rejected and went and got another man (WHO DIDNT EVEN WORK ON THE CAKE!) and in a very loud, rude manner was basically trying to justify the quality....Speaking over my wife and trying to justify the "2 days labour" they put into the cake, he offered either $50 back ("the best he could do") or come pick up the cake in 6-8hrs. When we told him that was impossible he suddenly changed his mind and said to come back at 2pm.

When we arrived to pick up the "fixed" cake we were gutted. They finally got the print and colour right but it had black grid lines throughout the image!!! We told him this is totally unacceptable and not with the full amount we were quoted! He said it was the best image they could find which is RIDICULOUS because when we left we googled Coca Cola can images and we found plenty without imperfections!

After a long conversation basically stating that this is not what we paid for, we asked for at least $100 off. The man (who never returned to speak to us after this point) and Ninette went to the back to speak to the boss. Ninette came out a short time later SCREAMING at us and saying "THIS IS COMING OUT OF MY POCKET, IM THE LOSER HERE!" (mind you this is all in front of a shop full of customers!)

Ninette then continued to serve another couple and then disappeared at the back and never returned to finish serving us. Another lady came, APOLOGISED which neither Ninette or the other man did, gave us our money and that was it.

They should take lessons from their staff of how to speak to PAYING CUSTOMERS! Im sure most people have been in retail/customer service jobs at one time or another and Im sure everyone agrees that this is NO WAY TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMERS......SCRATCH THAT, NOT ONLY CUSTOMERS BUT PEOPLE IN GENERAL.

If anyone is planning to order cakes from there i would seriously reconsider. Please like and...

I have had many cakes from here before and I keep coming back as I really enjoy them. This time however I was not impressed. Firstly, when I went to order the cake, the lady serving me told me that what I asked for would look ugly and I should order something else instead. I had ordered a white mud with yellow fondant icing and a happy birthday message written in white icing. When I went to pick up the cake and opened the box, I was not happy. First of all, the writing had been done in fondant icing instead of nice cursive writing and it wasn't even centred. There was what looked to be flecks of dirt and different coloured icing scattered on the cake and the corners of the cake were not square and seemed squashed. I called the shop and told them I had a problem and they said I could come back in to show them. When I arrived I was quickly served, however before I could explain what was wrong she had taken it out the back and was gone for about 10 minutes. I flagged someone to go and get her as I had a very busy day. She came back with the cake and was extremely rude about it. I told her I hadn't even explained everything that was wrong and she told me she was going to fix the writing. In the 10 minutes she was gone, nothing had changed about the cake and I told her I wanted cursive writing not the fondant. She told me that the baker who has nice handwriting wasn't in that day so she thought this would look better so took it upon herself to just change what I had asked for. I asked if someone could fix the writing and she said they would have to completely re-ice it and that no one would be able to do the cursive nicely anyways. She agreed to a partial refund, as I didn't have time to sit around and wait for them to remake my cake. As helpful as a refund is, it didn't make up for the fact that I was super unhappy with my cake. Not only all this, but once we cut into the cake, all of the edges were burnt and it didn't taste good. So basically they had extremely rude customer service and made me a cake that looked awful and tasted awful. Not happy at all and will not be purchasing...

I think we can all agree that mistakes happen sometimes, but it is how we handle them that can either make or break a situation/experience. After purchasing a strawberry cheesecake, eating and cutting slices for our extended family, we were both shocked and disgusted to find a piece of plastic inside the cake. I called Eiffel Tower first thing the next morning to notify them of what we had found. The staff member I spoke to simply asked if I had kept the plastic, which I had, and then asked if I could bring it back and we'd "take it from there". After ending the call and having time to reflect I note the following: - The staff member was not in any way surprised that I had found plastic in the cake. They did not sound shocked, no reaction such as 'Oh my gosh that's never happened before' etc. - They did not apologise. Again, no reaction such as 'I'm so sorry to hear this happened' or 'I'm sorry you experienced this' etc. - They showed no concern for our health or well-being. They didn't ask if anyone bit or choked on the plastic, if anyone hurt their mouth or sustained an injury etc. They didn't ask who was eating it or if children were involved. - They didn't ask or show any interest in knowing what type of plastic it was, how big it was, what it looked like etc. - They didn't ask if it was convenient for me to bring the plastic back to the store. They didn't ask where I lived, how long the journey would be or offer an alternative such as to collect it from me instead. - They didn't take down any of my details so as to make any effort to check in on myself or my family after eating this plastic-laced cake. - They didn't offer me a refund or replacement. If they had shown any surprise, any concern, kindness or understanding I would have understood and accepted it for the mistake it was. However, based on the complete and utter lack of basic manners and humanity shown by the staff member I spoke with I felt it necessary to leave this review and share my experience.

OMG - I can’t believe how bad the cake was and the response I got from this business when I told them was an absolute disgrace. The cake came with a ribbon on top - there was what looked like animal hair entwined in the ribbon and the ribbon was badly stained - so badly I had to replace the ribbon with a cake topper. They tried to tell me that the animal hair was the ribbon fraying (which I can assure you it wasn’t) and the stain was due to the ribbon touching moisture in the fridge !!!! See photos - this was definately not the case. To make it even worse, when we cut into the cake a few people asked me where I got it from and I thought it was because the cake tasted good - nope - the red velvet cake tasted like peppermint, was burnt, dry and disgusting. When I told them this they said I have to return the cake to them so they could evaluate it - why would we even bother spending more time on this when they have already provided disgraceful excuses for the animal hair and stains on the ribbons. I would NOT recommend this cake shop, next time I would prefer to buy a cake from Coles - at least they are edible.

Ordered my sons birthday cake last Friday was told it would be ready to pick up after 2pm the following Wednesday. Called up to double check that the cake was finished before coming in and was told yes it was ready to be picked up. When we arrived the cake still hadn’t been done so was told to give them 5-10 minutes to finish it. 30 minutes later I was presented a rushed cake the image wasn’t even in the centre and the icing was horrible. All the ladies acted oblivious to haven’t picked up the call telling me the cake was finished and when I told them the cake looked horrible her response was the cake maker was a perfectionist. Clearly don’t order a gluten free customised cake from here because $80 for a cake that wasn’t appealing and rushed isn’t worth it. So disappointed and upset and when we got home the icing at the front of the cake had already fallen off because it hadn’t been refrigerated prior to pick up. Will never be ordering from here again. This place needs to organise themselves better and put more effort into every order. Would give a 0 stars rating if possible!
