If I could rate the service of this place with 0 stars, I without hesitation would. The staff that worked on the 10th of February were utterly disrespectful and horrifying. My partner and I were stuck in a non-busy drive through for more than an hour and were forced to leave empty handed. The two girls working that night were badmouthing the customers behind us and could not get our order right to save their own lives. We got to the front of the line and at this point my partner and I just wanted a refund so we could just go home because of how incompetent these girls were. After giving us empty promises about our refund, the staff made us wait 30 minutes at the empty window, just to come back with less money than what we were charged with. Nobody wanted to help and give us a refund, I genuinely felt like I was being held hostage. I am very much an empathetic person and understand if these girls were genuinely struggling or were new to working in customer service, but what made the whole situation super frustrating and traumatising was that they were heard and seen laughing at us behind the window. We just wanted our money back and to go home. The whole thing was torture. At one point, all of the cars in the drive through began honking in synch for someone to come help us at the front window. After almost calling the cops, we finally got our refund and the two girls who served us were still laughing. I am a regular consumer of GYG and this is my first time visiting this site. I should have read the reviews before coming here because I never would’ve came if I knew this is what the staff here treated their consumers like. I felt robbed of my time. We left around 22:10 which was past their closing time, I can’t imagine when the cars behind us left, but I know their experience was...

I’m not one to write reviews but i just want quality burritos back.

Me and my boyfriend have been coming here since mid 2021 and during the first few months we absolutely loved the burritos and chips and could not get enough. We continued to come to guzman y gomez tullamarine throughout 2022 and everyday it just gets worse we love seasoned chips and properly prepared chicken as well as evenly distributed ingredients in the burritos. I ebony get the cali burrito with added chipotle mayo and my boyfriend gets a regular burrito, both of us choose chicken as the filling, during the first months of us ordering the chicken was perfect there was a correct amount of filling in every burrito, now we get either really chewy and fatty chicken as well as burnt to a crisp way too charcoaled chicken sometimes 3/4 if the burrito is just chicken i’ve forgotten what is including in the burrito it’s that terrible. Now the chips every time i come which is at least 2 times a week i ask for extra seasoned chips i’ve never been charged extra so i figured it is ok to ask, since mid 2021 i have only received extra seasoning 2 times out of many. As someone who works in fast food i can understand mistakes and pure laziness with the seasoning and i don’t mind if there is a correct amount of seasoning however some times i receive chips with 0 amount of seasoning and im not sure if it’s just the workers doing it to be spiteful for asking for extra seasoning or just pure laziness. In conclusion i just want to state i am not writing this review to talk down towards the staff i am just writing it because i used to love the food here and really want to love it again please take into consideration what i have said and care more for ur customers because we love u.

Oh Caltex GYG, when I get my weekly craving for cheap and convenient subpar Mexican food, I know where I’ll be 😌. The least trashy food I can buy without having to leave the comfort of my own car. That drive-through just can’t be beat! I love how it gets backed up to the point that it obstructs the path to the petrol station. I love how its left lane always gets neglected, and I especially love it when I foolishly opt for the left lane anyway and hear someone ordering 10 large tortillas from the right, despite the fact that they arrived after me, and I end up getting stuck behind them. I love how when I get fed up, back out and switch lanes to order at the right lane’s speaker, the left one will miraculously start working again, as a new, soon-to-be-satisfied customer arrives. I love how I’ll have to wait at least 10 minutes in the drive through after I’ve placed my order, and that it seems to go by so quickly compared to all the waiting I’ve already done just to have the honour of making it this far. And what I love most of all is the thrill of getting to see what mistake you make with my order this time, because you will inevitably get it wrong, even when you’ve kept me waiting nearly half an hour, and have done so many a time before because I just keep coming back for more. Oh Caltex GYG, you’re absolutely hopeless, but no amount of lousy service will make me love...
