Title: The Agonizing Wait: A Disastrous Dining Experience
Introduction: In today's fast-paced world, we expect efficiency and promptness in all aspects of our lives, including dining out. Unfortunately, my recent encounter at a popular restaurant shattered these expectations as I endured an excruciatingly long wait for my food. This review aims to shed light on the dismal experience I had, highlighting the unbearable wait time and its impact on my overall dining experience.
First Impressions: From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was met with a bustling atmosphere and a cacophony of conversations. The ambiance was pleasant, with warm lighting and tasteful décor. My initial enthusiasm, however, quickly waned as I noticed the chaos that unraveled around me. Tables seemed understaffed, and servers appeared overwhelmed, frantically running from one end to another. Little did I know that this disarray would be a harbinger of the painfully prolonged meal that awaited me.
The Dreaded Wait: As I settled into my seat, I anticipated a swift service, eager to indulge my senses in the culinary delights promised by the restaurant's menu. Little did I know that my excitement would soon be replaced by sheer frustration. The wait time was simply unbearable, stretching far beyond what any reasonable person would consider acceptable.
Minutes turned into an hour, and an hour into eternity as I watched other tables receive their orders while mine seemed to be lost in the abyss of inefficiency. To add insult to injury, our server rarely made an appearance, compounding our frustration and leaving us feeling neglected. The lack of communication from the staff only deepened our exasperation, as we were left to wonder whether our meals were being forgotten altogether.
The Impact on the Dining Experience: The prolonged wait time had a detrimental effect on the overall dining experience for me and my companions. Our anticipation turned into annoyance, inhibiting our ability to fully enjoy the restaurant's ambiance and engage in meaningful conversation. The atmosphere that initially seemed inviting now felt suffocating, as the prolonged wait heightened our impatience and dampened our spirits.
Additionally, the prolonged wait cast a shadow of doubt on the quality of the food itself. We couldn't help but question whether the excessive wait was indicative of a lackadaisical approach to food preparation or a disregard for customer satisfaction. As minutes turned into hours, our expectations plummeted, leaving us disillusioned and skeptical about the restaurant's ability to deliver on its...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with El Jannah that I feel needs to be shared.
I reached the store at the pickup time, and the app showed that my order was ready. I went straight into the drive-through lane, which was completely empty at that time. Despite this, the staff member at the window rudely told me that because I placed the order online, I needed to come inside to collect it.
I explained that the app said my order was ready, yet I was still being refused service through the drive-through. Instead of offering any assistance or basic courtesy, the staff member acted like I had done something wrong by coming through the drive-through. She implied that if I didn’t want to step out of the car, I should have placed the order at the drive-through and waited 10–15 minutes there, rather than ordering in advance.
They then asked me to go to the waiting bay. Trying to be cooperative, I moved to the waiting bay—even though the drive-through was still completely empty. Then, surprisingly, another staff member came out and told me to leave the waiting bay and go park in the main car park, even though I wasn’t blocking anyone. I refused to move, as I had every right to wait there without causing any disruption.
When I finally received my order in the waiting bay, the food was cold, clearly showing it had been ready for a while. On top of that, the chicken was burnt and overcooked. It was frustrating to realise that because of poor handling, a lack of understanding of basic concept of a drive through of whole dumb staff, and what honestly felt like sheer ego, I ended up waiting unnecessarily.
Instead of politely informing me that the pickup counter is located seperate inside ( they didn’t want to walk to the pickup section and bring it to the drive through window ) and advising me for the future, they simply insisted I come in and falsely claimed the order wasn’t ready—despite what the app clearly showed.
To make matters worse, I didn’t receive my full order because some items were out of stock. Yet the app still allowed me to order and pay for those unavailable items, which is a serious issue that needs to be fixed.
They did include a small extra item as a courtesy, which I appreciate—but it doesn’t make up for the cold, incomplete, burnt food and the poor customer service.

Read moreWas invited at the last minute.
The drive thru was bustling so I had a suspicion its gonna be good.
Walking in from the parking lot, the initial section as we walked in seemed a little basic. As we passed that section, we were greeted with what we called "the fun section" which was livelier and had a better restaurant feel.
In the "fun section", we got the big centre table which could fit 8 adults... but it was quite dirty. (PLEASE people, at least clean up after yourselves!!! Is that what you do at home?!?!?).
Went and asked the staff to clean the table and it was promptly done.
Ordering was done via the QR code at the table. Also you can do it via the kiosk or likely in the counter too.
Food came quite quick. Was really impressed by that.
We had the pack that included the rotisserie chicken, fried chicken, pita bread, upgraded hot chips and sauces.
WE LOVED THE CHIPS!!!! OMG IT WAS GOOOODDDDD!!!
I preferred the rotisserie chicken than the fried chicken. Also liked the coleslaw -- we should have had more but there was just so much food.
Overall, enjoyed my experience here and loved the place.
Will definitely be coming back!!!
p.s. AND AGAIN PEEPS! Please clean up after yourself, even if its just putting the tissues and paper on your plate or tray. Just because there are staff to clean up, it doesn't mean you leave the table as if you rummage through the garbage bin.
In case you ask, we left our table clean for the next group to use. Possibly the staff just needed to do a quick...
