Espresso 3094 — Restaurant in Melbourne

It was really good at the start. The outside area is fantastic for kids as there are chalkboards and ample space for people with pets. Great! Over time though, I feel the quality has gone down. My recent visit was okay but nothing special. Being a vegetarian, I found that selection limiting but that is to be expected as most people eat meat and they need to consider the majority. What made it average was that the food that was on offer was a bit bland. It seemed like it was about the presentation not the food itself. Sadly very average. The coffee is good if it is cow milk which I can have but prefer not to. Their soy is decent but the almond mlk coffee has been consistently bad on each visit. I have ordered almond milk 3 times and every time it was burned and the almond milk separated in the glass before my eyes which I had to keep stirring to keep it combined. My wife ended up having an upset stomach. I'm not a barista so I don't know why this is but the amount of places that can make a good Almond latte ( even on were street there are a few), it shows me that it has not be properly investigated. I guess I have learned my lesson and will favor my other places on the strip if they are open and...

So disappointed today with almost everything at 3094. I booked for family breakfast on Christmas Eve and when we arrived we stood in the entrance for close to 10 mins with almost 3 or 4 staff members to walk past with ignorance not even checking which service we wanted. We ordered with no mention of any delays (I assumed it would be a wait as it was very busy) but 1 hour wait for food is absolutely ridiculous. No update in that time by anyone and the poor staff were running around rushed off their feet. Had to check the whereabouts twice when 2 out of 3 plates arrived and looked like it had been chucked on the plates. After waiting another 10 mins for the last plate to arrive we complained and asked for return of money (we were chucked 1/2 the amount in cash) We won’t visit again. Totally understand it’s a busy time of year but 1 hour wait is unacceptable. Ruined what was supposed to be a lovely family breakfast...

Your cafe has the honour of getting my first negative review on anything. I have been a regular for 18 months and usually just want a coffee and treat, one would think pretty easy. The standards of your staff have slipped in the last six months as once again my coffee order was stuffed up today. The sorry was meaningless and almost offensive as they got the newest member of staff to do the dirty work rather the staff member responsible. In the past, I have had to find my own treat sitting on the counter long after coffee delivered, found my order on another table where no-one was sitting, forgotten coffee on at least two occasions. The staff just don't seem to coordinate the orders very well and get easily distracted. I hope whoever is responsible for the management of your cafe can upgrade the standards and efficiency...
