Fatboys Phillys — Restaurant in Melbourne

Me and my family rarely go out together and my mother thought of going out for a family dinner treat so we decided why not try “Fatboy Phillys” now, my mum usually doesn’t complain about food, and or service. HOWEVER this has been one of the most horrible experiences I have ever witnessed apon. First of all when ordering to the cashier, they messed up the order SEVERAL times throughout the ordering process to the point where after the order was finished and paid for she claimed “I didn’t put it in properly“ and charged us an extra $20 ONTOP of the already $70 spent. After 30 minutes of waiting (with only one other person in the store) she hands us our food and advises us that “I made one wrong, do you want me to remake it?” Immediately we declined because we have better things to do. I went to grab my milkshake I ordered 30 minutes ago (with my meal) I say “Hey where’s my oreo shake” she responded with “I’ll make it now I forgot sorry.” Fatboy Philly’s this is NOT on, please train your staff better or find competent replacements. Me and my family will NEVER be coming...

I didn’t think this place was worth reviewing until a few days ago when I actually had a truly good cheesesteak!!

As a local I’ve ordered from here multiple times, and unfortunately it has previously left me a little disappointed. I definitely think it depends on who’s working on your food which is unfortunate. The first few times I ordered the cheesesteaks were extremely under filled and small. Additionally, I ordered and paid for a double patty burger and only received one patty.

As of recent though, the cheesesteaks I’ve been getting have been much fuller and truly live up to the fat boy standard.

I asked for NO Mushroom but got quite a lot in the roll. Im unsure if they can separate but nothing was said to me.
