I ordered the $28 steak sandwich, which looked great but didnt deliver on flavour.
It was dry and tasteless, both of which can be ascribed to the overcooking of an extremely thin, unseasoned cut.
For the most expensive item on the menu, this is just offensive. I can understand it not being practical to use garlic/butter/herbs, but at the very least, PLEASE give it some salt and pepper before it hits the pan.
As for the rest of the sandwich -- the sauces were "fine" as was the lettuce, though unfortunately the egg was dry & rubbery. Calling the roll "Turkish bread" was also... generous.

Read moreIt's a lovely place to stop on a bike ride. Staff are very friendly. We had a chicken cheese avocado toastie, a pot of tea and iced coffee. The presentation was unremarkable compared to other photos seen here. Maybe I should try a different dish next time we come this way. There's a cute outdoor garden seating surrounded by plants right on the trail. There is plenty of indoor seating and outdoor dining also on the foot path. This area is shielded with a clear roof to floor plastic in cool weather. Dogs are welcome here and there are 2 water...
Read moreLove this cafe... Parking is usually easy with the station directly behind the cafe. My favourite is the spicy chicken roti wrap, it's huge and delicious, I usually share one with my sister. (great value at $16) I also enjoy the raclette - basically an open sandwich of goats cheese and vegetables. The coffee is good and the service is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable too, good quality ingredients, cooked well and large servings. It's now our new cafe, I suspect this cafe has taken a lot of business away from other cafes...
