What delicious food, I was so sad when Hellenic Republic closed in Kew, I wasn't sure where I was going to get such superb Greek feasts from.

I mean for specific items I could go to Plaka Gyros in Glenferrie, but for a truly decadent feast I had nothing.

That's where Gracie Greco has now stepped in to my life to provide a near perfect meal recently to celebrate my wedding anniversary.

The banquet was too large for us and we ended up taking away enough food for lunch the next day, the meat was divine, the pita and dips delightful and the dessert so fluffy and light I could still eat it despite being on the verge of exploding.

We enjoyed the grain salad but it felt it needed something, more yoghurt and maybe pomegranate or something else with a flavour burst to enhance it as it was the weakest item. Maybe something to reduce the saltiness and dryness of the saganaki a little too. That's more suggestions than complaints though given I did enjoy these dishes, they were the only ones that didn't compare as well to other restaurants.

I loved the dips, the sausage, the chicken and the loukoumades as my favourites. The pita was really nice for the dips and one portion of pita would have been enough, but we got greedy when told we could have more and this probably made it harder to finish the banquet. But it was SO GOOD. We also didn't really need chips when we already had potato with the meat so well prepared.

Service was also exceptional and of a very high standard. The only issue would be sound, it didn't take much conversation before it got so loud I struggled to hear the waiters so some noise dampening could certainly improve the experience.

I highly recommend you give it a try if you love your Greek feasts. I am most certainly going...

I love Greek food and from what I heard, this restaurant sounded great so thought we'd give it a try. It's easy to find parking, so that was no problem. Walked inside and was surprised at the space. It's quite a big restaurant and has pretty decor. The tables are nice and big so it's comfortable when dining with a few people. I found the menu a little limiting. There wasn't a majorly vast array of options, still, what I got was reasonably good. The waitresses however, just plonk the food down anywhere without even asking who ordered it. It got a bit frustrating with each and every dish that came out. Then they clear the plates before everyone has finished. I think it's rude, but they continually did that. There's also no clean cutlery for the next course, so the dip I had set onto the knife and was kind of gross. With all of that said, the food is lovely. Everything was really tasty and come out reasonably promptly. Everyone liked what they ordered except for one (the beef pasta dish). They did offer to make something else, which was a lovely gesture, but the rest of us had eaten, so they felt bad and refused. No comp off the bill for it, but I guess it was personal taste. Overall, this is a very nice restaurant with good food. I'd recommend it more for casual dining, and look forward to trying once again...

Gracie Greco Restaurant is a true gem. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The decor is stylish and modern, with just the right touch of rustic charm to make you feel right at home. But it's the food that really sets Gracie Greco apart. The menu, with dishes that are expertly crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Each dish is made with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, and it's clear that every element of the menu has been carefully considered and executed to perfection. First time visiting this absolute gem of a Greek restaurant! We're moving to Queensland in a couple of weeks and I'm considering cancelling the move, now I've found my favourite Greek place! 🤣 Seriously though, everything was really lovely—the decor, the ambiance, the food (oh my goodness, the food!) and the service. I really want to give the service 6 stars! Huge shout-out to each of the attentive and friendly wait-staff who looked after us through the evening, Liz, Maddy and Evie, and of course, David, such a considerate and welcoming host. We decided on one of the set menus, and it was magnificent. My dinner friend is coeliac and the girls and David went the extra mile to provide fabulous alternatives, or adjust some of the dishes that we could both eat together. I did take food pics, but they were mostly half empty plates because we dived in, and anyway I'm sure there are loads of excellent food photos here already on Google. So here are a few views of the restaurant itself. I highly recommend this lovely place! Congratulations Gracie Greco team! 🎉 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
