I walked in at around 11:50am today on 23 Aug 2022 & stand by the ‘please wait to be seated sign’ near the entrance.
During this a lady with a pram waiting to the side of me.
For context, I estimate that the inside area is, at best, 50-60% capacity .
Female staff member heads towards the entrance but starts baby talking the child in the pram. Maybe they were regulars so fair enough, honestly.
While this is happening two other patrons walk in.
Female staff member looks up, for whatever reason doesn’t see or think to look at me and addresses the two patrons who walked in after me.
Thankfully the two other patrons let the female staff member know that I was before them.
Part jokingly, mostly frustratingly I said to the female staff member, “Yes, I’m here too”.
I finally get sat down with a menu and some water.
The ladies who came in after me get sat down not far from me.
Some time goes by and I’m again not noticed despite still having a menu on my table meaning I’m still yet to have my order taken.
During this time a male staff member sits another group near me & asks if they would like coffees to start with. He then walks right past my table before I could get his attention to order something.
Eventually the same female staff heads to the section I’m in but straight for the two ladies who came in after me & were sat down after me.
This was the past the maximum number of times I was okay with being unnoticed, so I left.
This turned what was actually a nice morning I was having to a pretty sour one.

Makes me wish I looked up Mob’s Google Reviews first so I could have just gone elsewhere...
Read moreFive of us arrived on a Friday morning for some brunch. Despite it being very busy, we scored a table to fit all of us and got seated promptly. The scrambled eggs were a reasonable size. The chilli scrambled eggs were also reasonable in size and price. The breakfast bowel was both tasty and healthy, and large in size. It could be improved by an addition of bread or something to compensate for the mass of salad on the plate. Although the Eggs Benny are delicious, it is quite small for what you pay; one little burger with some chicken and hollandaise. On their instagram, they include pictures with extras like halloumi and bacon, so it looks a lot bigger. But if you don't order any extras, it looks rather tiny. The customer service was adequate and the staff were friendly. When paying for the food, they didn't allow us to do split bills (not sure if that's because they are time-poor, or they physically cannot provide that service). I understand that restaurants don't want to stand around whilst 20 people pay for their contribution, but as paying customers shouldn't we be allowed to split and pay for our own meal? Anyway, thank you MOB! Love the place, the vibe, the food...
Read moreDear MOB,
I'm writing to let you know how inadequate your vegan options are, and kindly request that you improve your service for vegan customers.
This morning I ordered the vegan salt bush boccolini. What I received was a piece of toast with four cherry tomatoes and two pieces of broccolini for $25.85. That can hardly be considered a meal.
Before ordering I asked the waitress what the vegan option consisted of, and she said it's the same, except without the poached egg and goat cheese. I asked if the goat cheese could be replaced with vegan cheese and she said she would check with the chef. She never got back to me with an answer. When my order came out (a piece of toast, four cherry tomatoes and two pieces of broccolini) I asked if I could get vegan cheese and was told that would be an extra charge.
I'm attaching a photo of my meal and the receipt. I don't think its too much to ask for vegan meals to be the same portion size as non-vegan meals. It really felt discriminatory. The customer service was poor.
Kind...
