This place is massive. Not only is the space big, but the menu is too. Make sure to bring your glasses if you need them for reading as the print is tiny, but there's lots to choose from. I ordered the whitebait for my entree, and they were absolutely delish, However ... in the midst of eating them, when out came the main meals. I HATE that. Firstly, let everyone finish their entrees before shoving more food onto the table. There wasn't a heap of room for these extra plates and also, now either the main or the entree are going to go cold. For the main, I ordered the salmon and rice, thinking that perhaps the salmon might have a yummy marinade or basting on it, but, it did not, and it tasted just like what I make at home. On top of that, there was a mini salad thing on the side, and it also came with a muscle. That wasn't listed on the menu, or I wouldn't have ordered it, because I'm highly allergic to them. Restaurants NEED to inform people of these things as seafood and nuts etc can be major problems if they're not listed and an allergy sufferer ends up with one. The kind waiter said he'd let the kitchen know, but nothing came of it. I really hope they list it on the menu as part of the dish, because that's a big negative. If there's just one other negative criticism I could make, it's that no sooner had we put the last bite in our mouth, when our plates were scooped out from under us and taken away. It felt all too rushed and impolite. With all of that said ... what we had, we enjoyed. It was rushed, but good food. The Strawberry Daiquiri was one of the best I've ever had, and for that I'd go back many times. With a nice wide variety to choose from, you can definitely go back a few times and try different things. The staff were all friendly, and prices were not too bad. There's also outdoor seating which would be nice on a nice summer day. For the taste and the variety of food, along with the friendly service, I would go back again, but if it's so rushed, it might be the last time.

Absolutely stunning interiors to really make you feel like you’re about to enjoy some high quality food. We ordered: 🥣 Mixed Dips - trio of mixed dips, tzatziki, tarama and eggplant served with pita bread $18 🧀 Feta Saganaki - feta cheese wrapped in filo pastry with honey and sesame seeds $18 🐙 Octapodi Sta Karvouna - chargrilled Greek style octopus drizzled with olive oil and vinegar $23.9 🐟 Htenia Saganaki - Pan fried scallops with lemon, spring onion, fresh tomato and fennel $29.90 🍖 Mixed Gyros - mix of lamb and chicken gryos (meat only) small $29 The trio of dips were spot on, very fresh and perfect with the fresh pita bread. I don’t think I’m a huge fan of tarama unfortunately but that’s just personal preference but I’m glad I gave it a go. Couldn’t fault the feta saganaki, I could have devoured 10 of those easily especially with that honey on top. Octopus was fresh, you can tell they use the best quality olive oil. Octopus could have had a bit more char on it but otherwise cooked perfectly. My first time having scallops and I was expecting the big ones I’ve seen back in my waitressing days but these were small, loved the flavours and good texture, again glad I ventured out of my comfort zone. Mixed gyros, classic, good serve and went well with the spare dip and pita we have as well. Would love to return the next time I head down for some Greek food in Oakleigh, didn’t disappoint!

Fantastic place. Food was authentic Greek and tasted brilliant along side brilliant service. Everything was cooked and made fresh and you can tell it was from what was served to us. I could not fault the food whatsoever, was absolutely brilliant! Cocktails were also suburb; probably had a few too many! Regarding the service, all the waiters were very friendly and quick to respond to anything we had asked for. The bottle of water for our table was constantly being replaced once nearly empty and it wasn’t warm water like every other place gives you, it was nice and cold water which was a nice touch. Plates once we had finished were also not sitting on our table for too long which is perfect. The owner of this restaurant is very nice, friendly and inviting and you can tell that he has put together a nice team of staff creating an awesome vibe in a modern, contemporary and authentic Greek restaurant in the heart of Oakleigh. Have been coming back here again and again and I am never left disappointed. I have been recommending this place to everyone and will continue doing so! Keep up the good work Greeca Street!

First off, service staff were polite and attentive. Beer was nice and cold, but that's where the positives end.

Upon offering a small starter I noticed something which is happening all the time at a great many eateries which serve meat based dishes - the lack of seasoning (salt) added to the meat.

When I kindly asked our waitress to please instruct the kitchen to ensure the meat be salted adequately, she looked with dismay and replied, "there's salt on your table." My retort was, "it's not the same if you salt it post cook, it needs to be done prior to grilling the meat." That was then followed with a total denial to my request and we were given a platter of meat which had virtually no flavour whatsoever.

Folks, unless you're salting meat properly, it will be extremely bland and boring. That's exactly what we were served here. Nothing wrong with the way it was cooked, but it had absolutely no flavour at all.

Then of all things, to be constantly asked if the food was all ok is a totally stupid question - of course it's not ok! It's totally insipid and entirely off putting.

For the prices that are charged here in eateries around the country since greedflation has gripped us with an iron fist, this is completely unacceptable and I'm sick and tired of NPC staff that are completely rattled by simple requests that would've seen us a happy bunch of customers. Instead, we won't be returning and my advice to others is don't waste your money. Cook it at home and save...
