Edit: Somewhat ironically, myself & my friend who had the other beef burger have been crook today. Don't come here...
Original review: We came in as a group and each ordered burgers. As we were eating, I noticed in my burger (Chilli Addict) that the beef patty was somewhat undercooked (very pink). I didn't think much of it, as I'm pretty tolerant of meat, but I know many people who wouldn't have eaten it. My friend however had a chicken burger (Hot Bird), and their chicken burger was also undercooked (although not as bad, but it's chicken). She couldn't eat it because it was still somewhat pink in the middle, and it had that raw chicken smell. A friend and myself checked the burger and we all agreed that it wasn't right. I took the burger to the front-counter. The lady we spoke with saw the problem and offered to remake the order, however, the chef intercepted and flat out refused anything. I advised that the burger wasn't edible, that we weren't happy, and that my burger was also underdone. The 'chef' advised that he had been cooking burgers for quite some time and that he considered the burger 'fine'. When I reiterated that none of us would eat the burger, he said that he 'cannot remake the burger'. I then asked if we could receive a refund for the burger, which he then stated he 'cannot issue a refund'. Look, I get that these things are subjective, but 4 people said it wasn't right... He overruled everyone. We ended up with a burger we couldn't eat, we ended up wasting our money. We were told one thing by staff and then rejected by the person seemingly responsible for the problem.
We will never return to this Grill'd. It sullied our night, one person left hungry, and to be bluntly told that we're all wrong is a terrible experience. We weren't asking for a refund for all our burgers, we were concerned about chicken not being...
Read morefood is good when (if) it arrives but every time i've eaten here they always forget to serve us a side. one time it was the sweet potato fries, and on this occasion we had to ask twice before they finally cooked it, brought it to our table and we were practically finished with our meals. the next time it was a serve of chips - I had notified them before i had gone into the centre to change my son's nappy, as they don't have a baby change facility, and when I returned, they still had not been served. I've also previously ordered through Uber Eats and on one occasion I was missing sauces and on another, sauces, a serve or chips, and three drinks. When I phoned the store to find out why this had happened, not only did they blame the Uber driver even though the driver's job isn't to pick/pack drinks, the worker who answered told me they would ask their manager how to proceed and then placed the phone on the counter and I could hear her taking orders for the next almost 10 minutes. When she returned to my call, I asked why she took orders instead of speaking to her manager, where she informed me she was unavailable even though not once did she ask for her. She said she would find her now, put the phone back down on the counter and I could hear her relaying to the manager that I had an Uber order and that "apparently I was missing stuff and complaining and...
Read moreThe service whilst dining in at Grill’d Northland was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We initially had to wait a considerable amount of time to order up at the cashier. After finally placing our order, we waited a substantial amount of time before we had to ask what was happening with our food. We were forced to go up and ask, we received very little clarity on the situation forcing us to ask multiple times, without ever really receiving the correct line of communication on what had actually transpired. We finally received our food after everyone else who had ordered after us at the restaurant received their food. It seemed like they put our order to the back of the queue after we made a complaint, instead of making it a matter of urgency. When the food did arrive, I was missing my sweet potato chips to share as previously ordered. They end up giving me normal chips, which I took otherwise it would of been another wait for my actual order. We did not receive an apology at any point and it seemed like everyone front of house was incredibly hard to communicate with, we end up leaving without getting remunerated. This sort of service is unacceptable and I’d like to emphasise that my dine in at Grill’d Northland was the worst customer service I have ever...
