This was our pitstop for our roundtrip cycling from Jells Park. I would highly recommend this place. The atmosphere of the shop, the friendly staff and the yummy chocolates (you get a complementary one with every drink), the scones and the hot chocolate. The scone is so soft and very fresh. It goes well with the jam and cream. And try the hot chocolate. Its so rich and warming on a cold day. Slurp, slurp. Plus, remember to buy some of their boutique chocolates. So many varieties to choose from. I am sure to visit this place again.

Lovely little chocolatier and cafe. Got a chance to get a few presents from here for family members at a decent price range and have a lovely rocky road hot chocolate. Absolutely beautiful on a cold day! Staff were lovely and also gave us free choice of a chocolate with any purchase. If you’re in town or what a place that suits both coffee and chocolate lovers then look no further!

Cute cafe, lovely atmosphere. I had the smashed avo with fetta and dukkah, and the balsamic beetroot... It was delicious. My sticky almond chai was perfect and they added a free chocolate of my choice! We also had the raisin toast, delicious thick slices, and very good value for money. The staff were lovely. Will definitely come again.

Been to the Montrose store quite often so when we were up in Ferntree Gully was stopped by. The service was atrocious! We weren’t even greeted just asked what we wanted. We sat down had our milkshakes (which were very different to Montrose) and then once we were nearly done got offered a free chocolate. We had a catalogue on our table so we already choose which ones we liked. She came out and didn’t even say what they were so we asked. There was about 7 varieties and she only knew a few. We asked what one was and her response “I don’t know” that was all. No apologies or asking another staff member metres from here. We then asked for the chocolates we saw on the catalogue and she said “I don’t think we have it” but never checked to see if they did. Then I asked for another one but “I think that’s out of stock.” So the feedback would be to train the staff and at least hire people with good service. We would understand if she didn’t know and would apologise and check but she was blunt and rude. The store had many baskets with labels of what “should” be in them but we’re all empty so we couldn’t buy any chocolates. Montrose is an amazing store but Ferntree Gully was horrendous! Such a waste of money which we wished we...

Thought we'd pop in for a quick coffee and a cup of tea. Wish we hadn't. The two young girls left in charge or at least I hope they were left in charge were gossiping about previous clientele not a good start. Our order was prompt but the tea leaves in the pot did not appear to touch the water and so dishwater was produced . On examination the tea leaf holder was so bent and shrivelled it would have taken a master iron bender to get it back to its proper shape. The milk jug appeared dirty inside and out and did not look like it had been cleaned for a week as did the cup the coffee came in. My partner advised me it was pretty rank for flavour and quite tepid. Perhaps if the staff could have been a little more focused on customer's rather than dishing the dirt then we might have a decent drink. Where were the people in charge or the owners! Further more the floors were filthy and so we're the display shelves. Dust everywhere. Personally I like my cafes/shops a little cleaner. I doubt we'll return and I doubt...

I'm a regular here, but twice I have pre-booked a larger table, left a message on their recorder to reserve tables, preferably in window, and twice those phone requests for reservations have not been listened to. It's a "don't care attutude" from weekend staff. During the week staff are very helpful, and can't do enough for you. When I brought the phone reservations not being listened to a male staff member, stated oh well, we don't always listen to the recorded messages! What is the use of having a recoded message for bookings when staff don't bother to listen to the recorded messages first thing each morning?? Love the place, just not impressed with your...
