We had a family dinner (with 6 members) at this restaurant, on Saturday 11th October 2025. We started off with Chicken tikka nawabi and Lamb sheekh kebabs for entree. Followed by mains which included Lamb Bhuna, Shiraazi kofta, Prawn Malabar, garlic butter naans basmati rice etc. For dessert we had Malai Kulfi and Gulab jamuns. All of these items were excellent. But the Chicken tikka nawabi and Lamb sheekh kebabs were the best. Chicken tikka had succulent tender pieces of boneless meat marinated with a well-balanced blend of spices and cooked to authentic perfection in Tandoor oven. And it was the same with Lamb sheekh kebabs too. Bhuna Lamb was also a Masterpiece with good size lamb pieces cooked in a well-balanced, medium spicy, delicious gravey which went well with the hot garlic butter naans. The ambience was very nice too. They have a fully stocked bar on premises and there are clean gender based toilets inside. Host/Manager Krishna and all the other serving staff were nice courteous people. There's also ample parking available around this restaurant. Highly recommend.

Shiraz Indian Restaurant in Upper Ferntree Gully is one of the best Indian food offerings in the outer east. Have been coming here for years and I've always been delighted with the meals. Beef Vindaloo, Lamb Korma, Eggplant Beef and Beef do Piazza up there amongst my favorites. Many of the entrees are also great but I tend to order only the bare minimum so to keep enough room to fully enjoy the main course. Staff have always been friendly and quick with their service. Plenty of parking since they are in the vicinity of a shopping centre. A gem of the East.

Dined in last night and as always, the food was incredible! Garlic naan was so buttery and flakey + they don't shy away from loads of garlic! Didn't get pics of our mains as we got too excited to eat and forgot to take photos. Lamb Vindaloo had a perfect spiciness and fell apart with a fork. The mint sauce and chutneys here are absolutely delicious too. Will always come back - the prices are not exhaubatent either. Clean, relaxed atmosphere and service very lovely also. 10/10 experience.

This place is a mess if you are vegan. On their website they have marked vegan items, that aren't even vegan. Things with butter and creme in them, are labelled Vegan. The naan is labelled vegan, but has butter on it. Then, when you dine in, the menu in the restaurant has nothing labelled. We were served by a woman who literally had little clue about what items were vegan, or could be made. She spoke little English. Then there's a whole hassle of her getting someone else to help. We finally figured out what were vegan/non dairy options (allegedly), but with a lot of fuss. There are only really a few options available. Even though their website states that they can make anything vegan with substitutes. Yet that is not actually the case. When the food finally arrived, which was a very long wait, even on a Monday. The food was tasteless, slop. I've eaten Indian food all over the world. This was just bland, mushy veg and no spices, or flavour. Seem like it was frozen veg and reheated. Avoid this place if you expect to find many vegan options. Or trust that they are even truly vegan, or if you have allergies. Waste of time and money. Can't understand why they get so many...

I and my friends had a beautiful day at 1000 steps with BBQ n trek . we craved for sweet and I was the one to recommend this restaurant thinking that its the branch of shiraaz at CBD . As soon as we reached there and told the staff that we are here for sweet he seemed to be disappointed. His body language was rude and he didn't carry basic etiquette to take order, we were placing our order and at the end he asked us to repeat the order for him , fine..then he brought incomplete order and started an argument with my friend. I must say at this point the taste of the food didn't matter and I was embarrassed to suggest this place . I felt like leaving the restaurant then and there but as no one in future should face this,I reached to the manager and stated how his staff is ruining our day with his bad behavior.

Guess what we paid a bill of more that $50 which would have been like any other meal as we ordered around 10 desserts for 5 of us. So no loss to the restaurant i suppose. Don't know what's the attitude for huh??

I always thought that customers are king...but mind you not in this restaurant. Least recommended for all.
