Got to experience a Very disappointing attitude and rude behaviour from the manager. There’s an unsaid n unwritten rule of having food of minimum $25 for dining in. In case u r visiting on weekends you have to spend wholesome money on food irrespective of your hunger or appetite or budget just to satisfy the soul of the manager and to be eligible to sit n dine. They are not going to serve if you are ordering below the said amount...I mean really is that the way you treat customers came to eat like you are providing a home delivery service of groceries. They welcome us to sit in , took order, but then within few minutes came saying we need to order more to hold the table. We went for casual snacks n didn’t place order for a full course meal. While discussing this with the staff about this sudden change of mind the manager was absolute rude enough to say that Saturday evening is more precious than mere us not ordering upto his expectations and should not waste their time arguing about.
.................................................................................................................. Reply to your ( owners )response:
As per your response you are accepting this fact that spending a min $25 is a rule of your restuarant, In that case arent you suppose to inform this to customers prior taking orders?? ( I didnt see it written on your menu, or advertised on the restuarant walls or even the staff who took the order didn't mention about it on the 1st place)
Secondly , when you have checked that we have a kid with us even then you denied us to serve, unless we order extra,to help you as a business. Whereas we have ordered a meal for us n a takeaway for the baby amounting to roughly $16 (we have ordered a Vegetable biriyani n a butter naan from your dining menu.) For all other restuarants, that we visited even in this pandemic time have all been thankful that we have given them a little hand for running, or atleast not humiliated us for taking a seat n ordering a little.
Thirdly, If you are even smiling and humiliating the guests for not ordering enough n being happy for us to leave without eating I guess thats not what is called politeness. If You are already a Hit in the area then how come you still expect customers to help you in fulfilling the desired amount of placing orders, that too without advertising anywhere.
I leave it to you and your best mind to differentiate which one would you call bullying - NOT serving food unless customer order more and seeing them off with a frowning face and a humiliating tone or customers getting up from the table because your staff has just informed that customers cant hold a table without ordering a desired amount of food.
For my own knowledge I would look up the Victorian Consumer Forum to check if there is any minimum amount required to dine in a restuarant without furninshing such information to the customer by...

It pains me to write this review, especially as someone who has been a regular patron of this restaurant. However, the recent experience was so disheartening and I sincerely hope the management can please consider giving a thought.
The excessive use of red food coloring in the entrées is deeply concerning. Picking up a piece of tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, or lamb kebab leaves your fingers stained bright red – and not just temporarily. It’s shocking and frankly unacceptable in this day and age to rely so heavily on artificial coloring, especially when it detracts from the authenticity and integrity of Indian cuisine.
What’s even more troubling is that all three dishes looked and tasted almost identical (except for the texture of meat).
There seems to be little attention to culinary detail or distinction between recipes. It makes one question the care taken in the kitchen and whether the management truly values their customers' dining experience.
As someone who takes pride in Indian cuisine, I find it disheartening to see it represented in such a careless way. If you're going to serve food under the banner of a rich and diverse culinary tradition, there is a responsibility to do it justice.
Lastly, I’m genuinely concerned about the level of food coloring being used and will be raising this with the local council for further review.

Read moreThe food here is EXCELLENT - highly, highly recommend. Never had a bad meal. Star dishes are butter chicken and biriyani.
However, they really need to improve their service. We come here regularly and the staff are always unfriendly whether it is quiet or busy. They just point to your table and don't hand out menus or take drink orders. Each time we have to flag them down to take orders and then get the eye roll and told that they are understaffed and busy (apparently each time we have attended in the last 6 months).
There's been multiple occasions where the meals we have received are different to what we ordered because they just quickly take down your order and trod on off like you are an inconvenience to them.
Never a thank-you for coming, just pass you the card machine and don't communicate anything or ask how the meals were.
There's a lovely Indian restaurant down the road with exceptional service, it's hard to continue supporting somewhere that is so unappreciative of their regular customers. I suggest that they go there themselves and see the difference it can make to...
