My first & last visit at Hellenic depot. I had the worst dining experience ever . We chose to dine at Hellenic with my family base on their positive reviews on googgle , as I usually go for Greek food at oakleigh with no problems. We arrived 6.30 pm Sunday the restaurant wasn't busy at that time We placed our order 10 min later our order was very basic mixed meat plater and some dips Some 20 min later dip plate arrived We patiently waited for our main to arrive at 30 min mark we made a follow up on main course we were advise that its coming shortly some 25 min later we still didn't get our main now its been 45min in total , i approach one of the guys he seem to be given instructions to kitchen staff asking him what is going on with our main that we been waiting for over 45 min and it's not reasonable to wait for so long he was very quick to point out to me that his restaurant is not MacDonald service and food will be serve when its ready he commented to me " can't u see how busy we are" I advise him that he is been serving other tables that arrived after me again he was quick to say sorry I'm not magician and would u like me to cancel our order if you don't want to wait , wow I was gob smack by his rude attitude I was quick to understand that I'm dealing with owner he proceed to lecture me he don't need costumer's like me and I should be better to live his premises with my family because he didn't like my attitude telling that he is providing poor service as I was very disappointed and discussed with treatment I received my family and I walked out with out our dinner . I Just couldn't believe what has happened this man obviously don't have any people skills . im a gentlman in my 60s who clearly understand the pressure in running a business I personally owned operated 2 burgers restaurant I had never would have treated any of my costumers with such disrespect he obviously don't have much respect for his costumer or pay enough attention to process of service I feel because he has busy restaurant he can display such arrogant attitude behaviour he obviously don't understand the Fundamental rule in hospitality business in how to treat costumers as guest because at the end of dining experience the lasting satisfaction is all about the dining experience . I hope the restaurant owner can learn how to be more humble and caring and improve on his people skills this embarrassing event easy could have being avoided if he know how remedy this situation but obviously not . im sure im not first nor I will be the last the list he could have done his apologies for poor treatment We received after all we are paying costumers who expect to receive equal service as...

We booked a week ahead for a medium size group for my husbands birthday and our request for a table with disability access was ignored. Our poor grandmother was expected to clear huge stairs to access the table. This was resolved by pushing us into a front table without enough room for our group, in the direct line of the kitchen and open charcoal fire with very little ventilation on a 30 plus degree humid day. There was no ventilation in the place, not a single fan. There was a tiny air conditioner at the other end of the restaurant that did not service the space and had no impact on the front of the restaurant. We were extremely embarrassed that we had invited our guests to dine here and we were all dripping with sweat and sticking to chairs. It was a very uncomfortable dinning experience and we drank more water than anything else because it was so hot.
Some dishes came out very early compared to others which made our guests uncomfortable to begin the meal - very bad timing from the kitchen. Food was average.
We honestly felt sorry for the service staff because it wasn't their fault that this place was such a mess. They were clearly short staffed and all dirty plates were left on the table for more than an hour, despite us asking it to be cleaned so we could have the birthday cake brought out.
The night came to a terrible ending where the cake we had brought and asked to be stored in their fridge, was completely damaged when it came out. The entire side was missing and we highly suspect that it was kept out of the fridge for a significant amount of time based on how soft the icing was.
Overall I would never return to this place.
The lack of attention to detail by missing our request for disability access when we booked was very disappointing. No temperature control, lack of staff and service, poor kitchen timing, and damage to our cake was just unacceptable.
