Higher Ground — Restaurant in Melbourne

Our second visit here. They make a delicious salmon bagel. It’s really tasty - a lovely sesame bagel with a good amount of salmon, cream cheese and roquette. The coffee is most impressive here as well and up with the best. The outside seats are glorious on the right sunny mornings. It’s such a good place to sit. This is a very well run cafe, and it’s probably the best in the area we think. Bravo

Nice little cafe tucked around the corner off the main drag. Nice spot to sit outside on the right day. The coffee was good, the health slice lovely and the service charming. This cafe is a sound option...

Visited at peak time on Saturday morning. Coffee was good (long black), milkshake was good value, and the food was the highlight. We ordered the waffles and the pea and halloumi fritters and they were both excellent. The letdown was the service or more to the point the order taker. They entered the wrong table number so our order got misdirected. To their credit they promptly fixed this, however they proceeded to deliver the wrong quantity of food and drinks to the table. This also was fixed promptly. The thing that disappointed me most was there was no formal apology. Yes they were busy but I expected...

i ordered pouched eggs on toast and it took over 40 minutes to come out despite it being pretty quiet and the eggs were very hard and boiled i took them back to get my eggs poached and it took ages again to come out. then when they brought it back it was literally no different still so hard and horribly cooked .just wanted something to eat didn’t expect to be waiting an hour the service was extremely slow food was awful don’t recommend this place there’s a lot better cafes in the area that offer more choices on...
