Came for the pizza on recommendation of my wife, who was here a couple of weeks earlier. Not the best night to pop in though, as our 2 pizzas took 1h to finally arrive. Good flavour, good pizza base, good start. However, the crust was way too big, about a third of the pizza. Therefore, there was just not enough topping, which meant a lot of dough without flavour, which was also “nicely” charred underneath. Something definitely went wrong in the kitchen, as I could see 90% of the tables around us had their food already as we ordered, yet we had to wait and wait and wait. I was so disappointed while finishing my “bread” with no flavour. I don’t think it’s good enough when you pay $34 for a pizza and end up waiting 1h for a lot of dough with that much char. Luckily the waitress who served us was on top of her game. She acknowledged the waiting time before we were about to find out about our food ourselves and offered us free fries to bridge the wait. Well done! Probably wouldn’t recommend or come back. For that price, consistency and quality is key and neither was...
Read moreWow, I can't believe I hadn't heard of this place before! A friend recommended it for her birthday, and I’m so glad she did. This spot absolutely blew me away. It’s not just the stunning ambiance—though that alone is enough to make you want to stay forever—but the staff were beyond amazing. Super friendly, attentive, and really went the extra mile, especially when it came to helping me navigate the gluten-free menu.
Speaking of which, the gluten-free food was unreal. I honestly didn’t expect it to be so good. The gluten-free pizza base? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. The French onion dip with freshly toasted gluten-free bread was out of this world, and the chips? They were like homemade and so ridiculously delicious, I could’ve eaten them all day.
And don’t even get me started on the cocktails—so tasty! I seriously can’t wait to go back and try everything again. If you haven't been, you're seriously...
Read moreMy fiance and I visited Hotel Paradiso on a Sunday afternoon feeling famished and ready for a cold beverage. We were greeted by friendly faces and chose a comfortable space to sit in front of the kitchen.
We can only say we were pleasantly surprised by the downright bargain prices of their afternoon aperitivo. We settled on Burrata, House made French Onion Dip and Triple Cooked Chips (all at half price). With a limoncello spritz and hazy pale to wash down the scrumptious flavours.
Well, we certainly weren't ready to be sent to food heaven, but that's exactly what happened. My fiance exclaimed that she would sleep in a bed of the French onion dip, which I can't argue with.
Do yourself and your tastebuds a favour and try this place out. You won't regret it.
I must say, the gents behind the bar are also very nice to look at, which is always a huge plus. Well done...
