Only really ever review when I'm either blown away or wanting to be just "away". I understand working in retail you can only keep up positive and caring energy for so long, but. I didn't feel the service held a great standard, it takes little to do better and it doesn't take much to lose patience, especially being made to wait 3-4 orders later ( close to 15 minutes), watching other people receive their food and then driving around just to get told, the food was ready but you weren't parked in the designated parking spot.
They didn't ask why I did a lap around after losing my patience, I was about to ask for a refund, but instead the food was ready and I could not waste any more time. They did apologize for the wait, but did so by 0 eye contact and pretty much facing the opposite direction.
I wouldn't care if it was just for me, but I needed to feed my family, so my patience wears more thin when I'm coming home later than I already needed to be.
Also, no Apple juice at this restaurant. 4yr old doesn't understand how to be patient with me 🤣

Read moreOk, where do i begin? Voice my order at drive thru, employee repeats back my order to confirm. There was a long queue but only single lane so how would they mess this up right? I get to the window to pay, employee double checks my order and it was wrong, i repeat my order back, employee calls someone over to help amend the order, takes my payment then turns their back to me! Doesnt confirm whether payment went through or a thank you. Im sitting in my car staring at this employees back!! Im waiting then finally ask is everything ok? All sorted? Employee was kind of startled i was still there, turns around to me and says yes next window and turns back around with their back to the window again. I get to the last window, this employee was even more lost than the previous! Looks in my bag to check my order and hands it to me. No salt on the chips, and the burger i was given was wrong one that was asked of me at the payment window. And surprise surprise no dipping sauce either. Read moreI wanted to try the bubble cup that I saw on TV. I went back for nostalgic reasons to this particular HJ as my parents took us there as kids over 30 years ago. I'm afraid it looks like it's stuck in that era. The atmosphere is like walking into a worn, drab clinic waiting room, also with cold a/c on a cold day so it was chilly. I wish the owners would update to today's aesthetics. I looked across to KFC and saw they had a modern look. It's a pity for HJ to look so dated in comparison. Apart from that, the food was the usual fast food...reality not like the picture on the menu lol. I had a Chicago Angus and thought it was ok but not big or gourmet enough (bacon was thin and chewy) to command the price of $11.30. Chips were crispy and seasoned well. Kitchen was organised and staff worked hard to get everyone's orders ready. I recommend take away or delivery to enjoy in a nicer environment. Oh and I got an Iced Coffee with pearls. I could do without the whipped cream, but the iced coffee tasted good. The pearls were small and dark. I'm not sure about the taste...something like a darker brown...
