I had a lunch with family today and I stopped by Hurstbridge Deli and Larder. They are doing it tough, like all small business. It’s an amazing experience there. I go in and say “I’m making pumpkin soup (or pasta or salad) and what I could add? And generations of experience in small business is passed on in a tiny moment “ add a small amount of this smoked pork or crumble through this cheese or serve it with this tiny bit of hand made sausage and the meal will be transformed” . And it is. You can taste before you buy, have a beautiful interaction with a part of our community and support quality. I’m a massive introvert and I don’t know even know the owners name. But she is amazing and I don’t want to loose that. If you can, go in and ask her what she’s passionate about right now, taste it and spend $5 or $10 . It will make your day.
