King 88 Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

I chose King 88 because of the good reviews. I’m not sure what happened last Friday, maybe it was the full moon or they had a temp filling in but I spent almost $100 and we threw everything away, almost none of the food was edible. The special rice was not fresh, had a very unpleasant smell of reheated pork and was clearly heated in the microwave- it did not even reach the dining table and went straight in the bin. We gave the duck a chance but it was awful. We tried to like it (30 dollar dish after all) but both my husband and I barely swallowed it. Singapore noodles were only a tiny bit more edible in comparison to the previous dishes but still no one touched more than a spoonful. The sweet and sour chicken was all oil and batter and the only dish we actually finished was the vegetable spring rolls and only because we were starving by this stage. I am so extremely disappointed, I don’t remember ever having any experience like this in the past anywhere. I feel robbed - surely they knew what they were putting in our order. I’m sorry, but this is the worst experience I’ve ever had with ordering food....

After putting in an order through Menulog the estimated time of delivery came and went. After half an hour I rang to find out what was going on. I was told the order was ready but the delivery driver won't be available for another 10 minutes. I voiced a concern that the temperature of the food by the time delivery is made will be compromised not to mention the quality. After another 15 minutes I rang again to find out what was going on when we found our delivery had been left on the front fence (not even at the front door) and the order wasn't even mine.
