Edited: Went again and had nasi lemak which was ok. Not a big fan of their curry puff and pork bun though. Fried chicken in nasi lemak was a bit bland inside. Went recently again due to discounts 20% for Indonesian dishes, and now they open on Sundays. When we went about 12 it was pretty full. It was a bit hard to get a table, but again the service could be better. I didnt remember if they seat us or what, I was standing there waiting but no staff passing by many times acknowledging or greeted us. Eventually I had to ask and they were not much help finding a table, we found one ourselves. Also when queing to order food, it was sooooo slow. Like there about 5-6 people in front of me but seriously, the staff taking order were also preparing foods, not really taking order much so it took like more than 5 minutes per person to order. I literally I stood in queue for almost 30 mins. I was thinking, if the foods also takes long, I would really be angry. Luckily the foods came out fast. We ordered the grilled carp that came with rice, also their nasi pecel. The carp was big! So we shared it between two people. It looked amazing. The nasi pecel actually came without rice, so I had to ask the staff. Overall very nice meal, love the sambal that came with the fish. For that fish dish, after the discount I think it was only about $17 so that was sooo worth it! Nasi pecel was ok. The sauce for the grilled fish could be better but I guess overall still nice meal.

Recommended by others, went here to check out the foods. Went on Saturday afternoon just about 1pm, it was not full but still busy with a few people. Saw that they have specials on the board outside of curry mee, so I thought to give it a try. They sell some kueh but I think most of them are gone since not so many varieties left. Teh beng was nice, good that they put in takeaway cup. I never tried curry mee before so I don’t know the standard but it was a bit like laksa, but I prefer laksa. I like the toppings (prawns, fish cakes, tofu, chicken sliced, beansprouts) but I think the soup itself didnt hit quite right. It’s very rich so I found I got full very quickly. However I would also love more vegs in the dish. Overall I like the vibe of the cafe, their menu choices but wouldn’t get the curry mee again. Staff could do better, when I came they just told me to sit wherever I wanted. I sat and waited and even though there was staff standing around, she didn’t give me menu or anything. I had to get up and asked, do I order at the counter? Then she gave me the menu. Just need a better direction if you are supposed to grab menu yourself and go to...

Good Friday 2023 for me was my worst experience with the cafe. I have frequented this cafe many times with very good quality food and standards. I know where their standards are that's why I returned to the cafe. But will be a while before I return. I have lost almost all respect for this cafe and feeling cheated. It was a very busy day queuing for at least 20mins for a table. Ordered 4 plates of Char Koay Teow (our favourite) and other dishes. Within 5 mins of being seated we were serve with the first plate of CKT with the chilli on the side. I was puzzled? Since when CKT with chilli is serve separately? Just finish the plate anyway but it taste awful with the raw chilli paste with it. Concluded something must have happen to this plate either wrong order and they just serve it to another customer hoping for the best outcome. The other 3 plates of CKT got serve after 20mins with no chilli on the side but fried into it. That's when I crack at the waiter and told him they should not serve wrong order and should just dump in we are paying customers and expect how they should be. Next was the Assam laksa.. wow... Certainly stoop really low to focusing on making money instead of having any pride in serving good quality food. From being one of the best Assam laksa we crave for.. it was the worst ever we have tried. Added water, lemon juice.. thats what we taste of the Assam laksa. 2 spoonful and we had enough of it and had to cancel the takeaway Assam laksa.

I'm sure food quality will be back and everything will be back as normally with awesome food. But will be a while before our family and...

Decor and premise looks like a nice cozy cafe. That's all the good thing about it that's why I am giving them the 2 stars. I just really confuse about the cafe marketing, It is located at mixture of commercial and industrial area usually people will thought it will be a lovely cafe .Unfortunately I just confuse about the menu and marketing makes customers feels like Asian take away shop.

The trading hours is very unusual which the cafe trading hour start from 9 am to 2pm when the cafe is located in a commerical & industrial area. Not really local friendly trading hours isn't it after all for all the early bird customers..Really disappointed..

The coffee taste burn and really flat after I order a latte require lots of improvement. The service and food took a long waiting time for customers when the cafe quiet. Management wise require more improvement.

Overall, if you are looking for a malaysian cuisine for lunch it is not a bad place to go, but it is definitely not a proper cafe shop that you will expecting. Such a shame the cafe would be very successful if the marketing was done...

Edit: 31/12/2023 I'm not sure if this place has been sold or bought out but the food has become more Indonesian than Malaysian. Their drink has become watered down feels like murky water at this point. It also seems they are less organised than before. Like today, the server kept giving our order to another table. They keep sending it back since they didn't order our order. But for some reason they don't know it's for us. So the food went to the other table, the drinks went to the other table. All sent back and it took another 10 mins to figure out it's for us. One of the drinks was similar to theirs so they kept that. While we had to wait for their drink to get mixed up so it goes to us. I mean there's table numbers for a reason. And it's early in the morning. Only 3 customers and orders get mixed up? Original review: Cafe serves authentic Malaysian cuisine. It's almost our weekly routine to come here and have food that brings us back to Malaysia! Chee Chong fun, cham ping, Kopi O, nasi lemak, char Gai fun!

Hidden away on the corner but this place actually serve nice Malaysian dishes such as char Keay teaow, hokkien noodle, lor mee and nasi lemak. Each of those dish I mentioned really hit the spot in terms of taste and serving size. Another highlight which I forgot to mentioned earlier is their nasi lemak fried chicken. Anyone who love fried chicken, should try these goodies. Their maryland fried chicken is not only fried really crisp and so juicy inside. Furthermore their nasi lemak also quite decent. They get really busy during lunchtime so arrived early if you can. Update Dec 2023 I have a feeling that they have changed their chef or recipe or maybe both. My lohmee seems to be heavy on sesame oil but lacking garlic and some flavour. Hokkien mee : seems ok but tad a bit sweet Char kue kak : this one is the saving grace, still good. Understand that they know offer Indonesian dishes as well which is good for variety but I hope they won't drop the ball on the Malaysian dishes.
