Enjoyed a delicious breakfast of home made beans (sweet and savoury) with a poached eggs cooked perfectly. The lavender chai latte was also authentic. The venue has great outdoor seating, inside seating by the windows and even more seating by a fireplace and the courtyard. Can’t wait to enjoy more excellent home made pastries, dishes and beverages from Lavender cafe

Very friendly service and Malaysian hospitality. You could taste the food are made from fresh produce and with love. I had an onion, mushroom and steak pie and the pastry is buttery, lots of filling and very well seasoned. Definitely will come again and try their beef rendang next time.

Amazing hot cross buns, great extra strong cap and the best service - hands down! I came here during my break and had no microwave on my construction site - the staff member even heated up my meal in the microwave, thank you again my mate! 100% recommended

This cafe is new so possibly some teething issues, but I went here for coffee and breakfast with my mum and we were both left disappointed. The service was slow and the wait staff seemed a bit confused about what food/drinks were to go to which table. Additionally, they took a long time to clear the table from the previous diners. The menu itself was ok - great for a traditional “big breakfast” style meals that are toast-and-egg-centric but seriously lacking for people who don’t eat egg. The food itself was ok but nothing special, while the coffee was quite disappointing. If you want egg and bacon, look no further. If you want literally anything else,...

This is my favourite cafe in Melbourne. I knew the owners, Holger and Shirley, when they had their cafe Loco in Middle Park, and I followed them when they moved to Albert Park. Holgar’s pastries are to die for, and Shirley’s Malaysian food is scrumptious. The quality and variety of food on the menu is fabulous, and Christmas is my favourite time of the year, when Holgar makes his ‘melt in your mouth’ mince tarts. I also have to make a special mention of Mark, their amazing barista, and Naomi, their gorgeous waitress, who are always...

Lovely cozy cafe, and the service is personable. Like it so much that we came back twice in a week. Tried: Florentine eggs - healthy and yummy! Beef rendang - the beef is very tender and the stew is flavorful Spanish eggs - love the bread and the sausages Chicken curry - really authentic Malaysian curry packed with spices. Just that it’s non-spicy. Drank up almost all the curry sauce because it’s like a yummy stew Mince pie - lovely pastry and fruit filling was just nice,...
