Came here a few weeks ago. It was quite early in the evening, so it was very quiet. Meals came out quickly, (maybe too quickly), and the servers were pleasant. I imagine when busier, it could be quite loud in there. It is quite a fun diner style restaurant.
That being said, I had the worst quinoa salad I've ever eaten. I'm not sure if the cook/chef has actually even tried it. I am vegetarian and there were not a lot of plant based options. The menu states that the quinoa salad has "roasted veg", (I assume it doesn't specify as maybe what you use changes depending on what is available), and when I received my plate, it was actually hard to tell what "veg" was in there. It did appear that one of the vegetables may have been eggplant, which I don't particularly like. However, it was very overcooked, and EVERYTHING in the salad tasted the same and had the same texture because it seemed to be drowned in some kind of dressing. It was hard to describe what it tasted like, and as previously stated, it all tasted the same. The quinoa itself was gluggy and overcooked, even the seeds which should have given some crunch were soggy, the capers were all in one spot at the bottom of my bowl and there was very little feta, if there had have been more, maybe it would have at least given the salad a salty flavour. I don't actually know how you can go soo wrong with something so simple, and I would advise that you tell customers exactly what vegetables you're using, in my experience pumpkin or sweet potato is great, or even cauliflower or broccoli.
Anyway, aside from that, my friend did enjoy their meal. The chicken schnitzel was huge, (as I believe all the meals are), and they took the leftovers home.
Based on my experience, I can't give more than two stars, though I'm sure most people would enjoy...
Read moreMy husband and I order 2 different type of Ribs. Lamb and beef. Why we order? Because not many restaurants over beef or lamb ribs. Most of them is pork ribs. So we glad finally we found other restaurants who have beef and lamb ribs. And 1 lemon tea.
Firstly we have to wait little bit extra for one dish. Because staff accidentally deliver wrong order to our table. As I told in beginning we order beef and lambs ribbs. But they deliver beef and pork ribs instead of lamb. And they take 2-3 minutes bit loud(one in front of our table, talked to kitchen chef) to make sure that the order right or wrong 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I mean seriously?? Why you didn’t take one miss order plate back to kitchen and make sure it’s correct dish or not!?? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
We are impressed and happy with their beef ribs. They have tender thick beef ribs. But we don’t to much like the sweetness level of that ribs. It’s too sweet. And the side salad dressing is too sweet. It’s like combo sweet in one dish. For the side chip. Average not well seasoned.
For the lamb ribs. We didn’t like it. First it’s to much fat. And the BBQ sauce it’s over powered. I think they just brushed sweet baby rays sauce on the top of the ribs and grilled it . It’s make the ribs also to sweet. Nothing too impressed.
They need to make their on secret kitchen sauce for their Ribs to make people get good taste rather than only bbq sauce. Adding some herbs maybe???
For the lemon tea itself…. When we order that ice lemon tea. We hopping that we get real hot brew tea with fresh squeezed lemon pouring in glass of ice. (I mean home made lemon tea.) but it’s like commercial lemon tea that they pour on...
Read moreThis review may miss a number of aspects and be quite subjective but hey this is my personal experience.
I have only come to the restaurant twice. Both of them are during times there are very few customers so I cannot say about when the restaurant was full and busy. Also i have yet to taste every dishes on the menu so it is another thing that may not be wholly true.
From what i can see, the restaurant’s dishes fully illustrate my style of wanting to have a main dish that would fill my stomach thoroughly. I myself was a big eater and yet i struggled with just a side dish and the main dish. Usually i have no problem even with 2 main dishes and some tapas from other shops.
The dish itself not only “heavyweight” but also decently to my eyes. Since i am not native to these dishes i can not compare them but i will say i like them quite well. The price and the portion of each dish is not for light eater so i would suggest bringing some friends or family with you. Though the price is above the average threshold it is definitely well-spent.
The atmosphere is casual but lovable to not make first timer too shy and still offering a cozy and neat environment.
To sum up, every dollar i spent at Lazy Moe is every dollar well-spent and every compliments i made is every word worth saying.
For myself i surely will return but not regularly, they fed me too well, got to keep...
