REVIEW EDITED. Huge thank you to the staff member who solved my problem with my missing delivery, and horrid treatment. I try not to name names in reviews, but let it be said that I was treated atrociously by one staff member, only to have a long serving member of their team go above and beyond to fix my problems instantly, and with grace, apology, and good nature. I can't begin to say how important staff like that are in any retail environment. My review went from 1 star to 2 when the rude staff member had the guts to call me back... and has leapt to 4 now because of how effectively my simple issue was fixed. The pizzas at Liparis have always been great, I now believe some of the customer service is right on par too (though some of it isnt...). ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS.

Great food, rubbish service. Such a shame what has happened to Lipari's in Boronia. We've been loyal customers for almost 5 years and only recently, have suffered a litany of mistakes from the company. I have always ignored little inconveniences like accepting pizzas being a bit late, or drivers not finding our corner block (that they have been to several times)... But I have to draw the line at a 2 hour wait for delivery when quoted 40 minutes. I even called to confirm once an hour had lapsed to ask and was assured it was coming out then. But, still nothing, an hour later. So, again, I call and this time get told I'm being unreasonable in my frustration (I work in retail, so I make sure I am every bit of reasonable when talking to someone else in that field!)... and when I asked for a refund I was told I have to go to the website I ordered it from. Then was promptly hung up on. Absolutely disgusted. No idea what they are doing and no taking ownership of mistakes. Wont be back. UPDATE After I called to complain about being hung up on, the lady who was rude to me did call me back to discuss the situation. I still assured her that my confidence was lost in their service and while they may once again see my custom one day, it won't be any time soon. Rating raised from 1 star to 2 because the lady took the initiative to call me back. Buy in-store, there might be a wait... but the pizzas are worth it. But don't even think of getting it delivered. The service when things go wrong is...

I visited this pizza shop recently despite seeing multiple reviews complaining about the lack of cheese on the pizzas. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, hoping they had improved. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a disappointment.

Firstly, the pizza I ordered had absolutely no cheese. Without a cheese base, the toppings constantly fell off, making it nearly impossible to enjoy. To make matters worse, there was no sauce base either, leaving the pizza dry and tasteless. It felt like I was eating a bland assortment of toppings rather than a proper pizza.

In addition to the cheese and sauce mishap, I also ordered a garlic pizza. Much to my dismay, it was undercooked and lacked the desired crispiness. The dough was doughy and didn't have that satisfying crunch I usually expect from a garlic pizza.

To complete the cascade of disappointment, I decided to try the spaghetti bolognese. Unfortunately, it turned out to be extremely watery. The sauce had no thickness or richness, and it lacked the flavor I was anticipating. It felt more like a thin, diluted soup than a hearty pasta dish.

Adding insult to injury, I specifically requested no olives in my order, but they still managed to include them. It was frustrating to receive a dish that didn't meet my specifications, especially after all the other disappointments.

Overall, my experience at this pizza shop was incredibly underwhelming. The lack of cheese and sauce on the pizza, the undercooked garlic pizza, the watery spaghetti bolognese, and the disregard for my preference regarding olives left me feeling unsatisfied and frustrated. I would strongly advise against dining here if you expect a quality...

Liparis used to be known for some of the best tasting and most generous servings for their food, pizzas were priced more than most shops but you wouldn’t mind paying the extra for good quality food.

I knew the previous owners really well and they treated every customer like family. Never skimped on toppings , flavours etc, if there was a long wait time for food due to a busy night they would often give out free deserts for the inconvenience. Just out and out genuine people.

Nowdays I can’t bare the taste and lack of ingredients in their food. last order was disappointing and thought I’d give it another crack. Well unfortunately the Caesar salad I ordered was absolutely disgusting. Overloaded on lettuce , eggs honestly tasted off , sauce was dreadful and put me off finishing the salad.

Liparis years ago won countless awards for best pizzas. That won’t happen anytime soon with the food they are now serving up with the new owners.

Never again will eat out at this dreadful overpriced take away...
