My family and I are regular customers to Little Bangkok Thai. Extremely disappointed by BOTH our visits last week and tonight - from bad staff communication, poor attitude, poor management & deception in how they handle customer’s money/voucher system.

First event - Last week Sunday 14th August, when we attended, we had called the restaurant twice to ensure they had marked in our separate 2nd booking for the following week (tonight, Saturday 20th August). Then to be safe, we thought we would triple check. And to our surprise (not surprised), when the staff checked their booking system, they realised they didn’t book our 2nd meal in for Saturday 20th August. InsteadC they somehow scheduled our 2nd dinner to a random date in September?! How even. Lucky we triple checked… otherwise, our important dinner meeting with colleagues would had been “unbooked” … leaving all our colleagues with no dinner booked.

Second event - Tonight Saturday 20th August, Dinner. As their regular customers, we had accumulated $35 worth of vouchers (7 X $5 vouchers) to redeem at the restaurant.

We had double checked the week before with the staff on the usage of these vouchers: How many vouchers can we use to pay for our 2nd meal? Answer: No limit, as many as you have. Can we pay in any method (cash/card) to REDEEM the $35 voucher? Answer: Yes. HOW you pay doesn’t matter, as you have already RECEIVED the vouchers and are now REDEEMING the voucher.

On their $5 voucher, the terms say, “RECEIVE a $5 reward voucher for every $50 of your total bill. Valid with cash payment only”.

From this statement - We were told, that to RECEIVE/GET the $5 voucher off our next meal, we need to spend minimum $50 and pay in cash. Meaning, for every $50 we spend, and pay in cash this first meal, we will RECEIVE a $5 discount voucher to use on our next meal.

However, now that we have “RECEIVED/GOT” our 7 vouchers over many frequent visits, totaling to 7 X $5 vouchers — they twisted the terms and argued that “to REDEEM the vouchers, you must ALSO pay in cash”.

Nowhere does it say this on the voucher. In addition, one staff then said “also no no.. too many vouchers you have, MAYBE can just redeem one or two? Maybe.”

Then we told the staff, that we had previously checked with staff how we could REDEEM this vouchers for tonight’s 2nd booking. But they were adamant we had to ALSO PAY IN CASH TO REDEEM the vouchers. Not by card.

They then told us to go to the ATM to exchange cash, and said they would even get their staff to walk with us to ATM to ensure we can get the cash to pay them. To make sure we didn’t run away. Very unprofessional.

I believe the problem here that arose was due to their unclear terminology on the vouchers. Their terms need to be more clear to distinguish the difference between RECEIVING VS REDEEMING the voucher.

After the heated argument, and their stubbornness to let us REDEEM our vouchers, we had to pay for our 2nd meal at full price. UNABLE to use any vouchers we had already received. Terrible customer service and deception.

We believe their voucher terms and conditions needs to be revised “To RECEIVE or REDEEM the voucher, BOTH MEALS MUST be paid IN CASH”.

To our understanding - HOW we choose to pay (whether by cash or card) to REDEEM the voucher, doesn’t matter. As we’ve already RECEIVED those vouchers. However, the staff continued arguing with us, that we aren’t allowed to REDEEM the vouchers if our 2nd meal was ALSO NOT PAID IN CASH.

Confusing as heck! Food honestly is amazing, but the staff and management is terrible. We do hope to return so that we get the chance to USE our vouchers.

We fear that if we return next time - to REDEEM our vouchers, AND paying for the meal in cash… the staff could makeup another TERMS & CONDITIONS about “Customers are only allowed to use one or two vouchers per visit, not 7 vouchers”

We will be sharing this unpleasant experience with all our past friends and families we have visited since this restaurant opened. Very...

What a beauty! A perfect blend of sweet, salty, sour and spicy with the right fresh ingredient. I stumbled across this little gem trying to get a way from the hustle and hustle of Doncaster Westfield. Little Bangkok is nicely tucked away on level 2 with a vantage point view of the city skyline. The restaurant’s wall is adorned with murals depicting Thai cultural aptly decorated with neon lights giving a street feel. The tables are well separated giving a very spacious and relaxing dining experience. I enjoy the ambience very much.

We ordered four dishes and enjoyed them immensely. To start with we had the duck pancake which contains finely diced duck meat with touch of plum/satay sauce wrapped in puffy pastry with a side lightly pickled apple, cucumber, tomato and onion. What a combination! Within a bite, the richness of the duck, light crispness of the pastry and the quenching of the fruit of vegetable crated something special. The crispy pork and water spinach soon followed. The texture is the key word, the crispy pork skin and the water spinach was fantastic. Topped with finely chopped red chilli, the spiciness and the flavour of the green leaf balanced the pork belly. Topped wrap everything up we had the Tom Yum hot pot and the egg net pad Thai. These two dishes Albury traditional and simple, really sent the symphony of flavours to crescendo. All the four flavours and the taste of fresh seafood, chicken, mushroom and perfectly textured noodles were just a bliss. I shy away some Thai restaurant because the overwhelming sourness or sweetness. But little Bangkok is my new favourite Thai place. It has done it. They also have a wide range of drinks and dessert, which was very impressive.

Overall I had a wonderful experience. The food, the staff and the environment made my day. I truly...

Sunday January 17 I took my wife for a birthday dinner not really expecting too much as we’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants & my wife being Thai & a great chef wasn’t expecting too much either. About 90 minutes before we left I rang the restaurant & asked for a little favor to surprise my wife. The waitress was nice enough to really go out of her way to organize a surprise dessert with a happy birthday wish for my wife in cream around the large plate.

This was my first time there & I was so impressed with the wonderful atmosphere, & the waitresses hospitality. The food we both had was beautifully cooked& presentation was truly 5 star. The layout of the menu & photos were of an excellent quality which already set the mood for something great to follow. I want to thank Nook for going out of her way surprising my wife with the birthday dessert especially on short notice BUT above all I really want to thank the young waitress Bella who really made the night for us fantastic. For me the personality of the waiters/waitresses will either make or break the visit. After all we didn’t just go there for dinner but to enjoy a great experience. Bella for me has such a bubbly & warm personality, always smiling, very courteous & that girl for us made our night extremely satisfying & enjoyable. Congratulations to the chefs, the meals tasted great & with a very colorful presentation. Again the attitude, personality & passion of the person serving you will determine the type of experience you will have. Bella for us was exceptional. We definitely will return many times with our friends as well. Again this was our first visit & we both knew no one at this restaurant. A definite 5 star experience for us. Well done...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Little Bangkok restaurant, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of amazing! I visited here with my family & friends. The staff here is exceptional; they were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. Now, let’s talk about the food – it was absolutely delicious! I had the Egg net pad thai and wow! It was bursting with flavors. The chefs at Little Bangkok truly know how to create dishes that not only look exquisite but also leave a lasting impression on your plate. One of the things that impressed me the most was the generous portions. I never felt like I was leaving the restaurant hungry; in fact, the portions were so ample that I even had some to take home. It’s rare to find a place where you can enjoy both quality and quantity, but Little Bangkok managed to exceed my expectations on both fronts. I am already looking forward to my next visit because this restaurant has undoubtedly won my heart. Whether you’re a food enthusiast or someone simply looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend Little Bangkok. You won’t be disappointed.
