From the moment I stepped into the establishment, I was genuinely taken aback. I hadn’t anticipated such an immersive and thoughtfully curated atmosphere. The walls are adorned with retro photographs that tell a story of another era, while the ceiling - an architectural statement in itself - draws the eye upward in admiration. Warm, ambient lighting and a well-balanced music selection further set the tone, creating a space that feels both nostalgic and sophisticated. We visited to celebrate a birthday, and the evening couldn’t have been more fitting. Both of us opted for the porterhouse steak, which came accompanied by a side salad and chips. What truly impressed me was the care given to the salad. So often treated as an afterthought in many establishments. The steak itself was generous in portion and cooked to perfection. It held its own flavor-wise, even without the need for gravy. It was tender, well-seasoned, and satisfying in every bite. The chips were exemplary: golden, crisp on the outside, and fluffy within.

Visited here for lunch and ordered two starters, pizzas and mains. The crab toast tasted fresh with the herbs and celery, nice contrasting texture from the crunchy toast. The mini fried lasagna was tasty but it didn't have much filling and the fried coating was too thick. For the pizzas, the base was nicely toasted, not soggy and the crust was crispy. The tomato and burrata pizza was flavoursome with plenty of quality cheese to spread, though there wasn't loads of basil as it claimed in the menu. The lobster pizza was also great; savoury and cheesy with large pieces of lobster meat, soft and springy. As for the mains, they were quite underwhelming; the herb crumbed pork cotoletta was moist but there was a gooey layer below the crumbed coating so texture was not good. And the chicken parmigiana was overcooked; tasty but the meat was dry and like the pizza there was not much basil.

Entrance was absolutely packed with people, then we realised the restaurant was further inside - a lovely atmosphere with some really welcoming and accommodating staff. Food was absolutely great! We ordered a garlic butter & scamorza pull apart bread as a starter - in case you were unsure if these guys can do a pizza dough, this starter gives a really good idea of how good they can nail the dough! Our only regret is not checking their pizza's out, too! Mains were: Louey's Chicken Parma with Spaghetti & the Casarecce. Both really good and abundant mains. One may raise an eyebrow when reading about the Chicken Parma with Spaghetti - especially if you've got Italian roots and/or a sound knowledge of italian cuisine. That said, the combination was interesting, and it surely was a really tasty meal!

I recently dined at Loosie's Diner and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the diner was warm and inviting, with a touch of nostalgic charm that made me feel right at home.

The menu at Loosie's Diner is a true delight for food enthusiasts. They offer a wide range of delectable dishes that cater to various tastes and preferences. From classic burgers and fries to mouth-watering milkshakes and desserts, there's something for everyone.

I couldn't resist trying their signature burger, and it exceeded all expectations. The patty was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavour, complemented by fresh, crispy vegetables and a delicious sauce that tied everything together. Not to mention their special on Thursday nights, Pork Ribs. Fall off the bone and as is with the burgers, full of flavour.

The staff at Loosie's Diner were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that my dining experience was top-notch.

To top it all off, the diner's vibrant and cheerful décor added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. It's clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into creating a fun and inviting atmosphere for their guests.

Overall, I highly recommend Loosie's Diner to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Mornington. Whether you're craving classic comfort food or simply want to enjoy a fun-filled meal with friends and family, this place is an absolute gem that...

If you're looking for a place that feels like a step back in time with a modern twist, Loosies Diner & Bar is it. Walking in, you're immediately hit with the vibe of a classic American diner, retro charm with a clean, aesthetic design that makes it feel like you've just stepped into a time machine.

The service is top-notch, with a warm smile greeting you as soon as you walk in and quick seating to get you started. The menu has a lot to offer, which can make choosing a dish a bit overwhelming. I was torn between a chicken burger and a Mac and cheese burger, so I turned to our server for some guidance. He recommended I pick something I wouldn’t normally find elsewhere, and that’s when I decided to go for the Mac and cheese burger.

As for drinks, I left it up to them to surprise me with a mocktail, and wow, was I impressed. It was like a burst of flavor, refreshing and satisfying in a way that made me feel like I’d just had an epiphany about what mocktails could be.

The food? Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Mac and cheese burger was indulgent but somehow balanced, with gooey cheese and a tomato relish that hit every note. Absolutely delicious!

All in all, Loosies Diner & Bar delivered an unforgettable experience. Whether you're in the area or planning a trip just to try this place, it’s definitely worth the visit. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you for the amazing service and...

Super disappointing end to what was ment to be a great evening celebrating a birthday.

We have dined at your establishment a few times so we're well aware of the time limits on the booking when we made it . 45 minutes into our booking we were politely reminded of the time limit which was fine. At the hour mark we asked if we had time for desert wich the server said yes ! We were half way into desert when we were rudely asked to finish it at the bar . At this stage we still had 15 mins left of our booking. We were told that the other booking had arrived early , they were a large booking and had a child so that made them more important. Not the other bookings fault as they were apparently contacted by the manger and told that they could come early the day before (mind you we made our booking Thursday for Saturday).

This made the table next to us feel uncomfortable and rushed so they left early also .

Your staff were rude, demanding and unreasonable while trying to have a conversation and trying to finish our meals .it's almost like your establishment was doing this to fit in an extra session at the end of the night .

But that's ok not all was lost .we went next door where we spent more money on drinks and were accommodated by...
