Whenever we crave viennoiserie, Lune comes to our mind. Lune is now more accessible with its new store in Armadale. Unlike their beautiful display kitchen in the Fitzroy store, this one feels more like a kitchen workshop. Patrons gather around a large centre table to appreciate and enjoy freshly baked goodies promoting a sense of community. Each Lune creation is a hand-crafted masterpiece and that’s why they have a small range to choose from, but each choice is an experience and a benchmark for the future. Accompanied with some much-needed coffee we chose a sweet and a savoury pastry. Both were delicious with layers of buttery thin crisp pastry baked to perfection

The savoury was Everything Croissant and the sweet was the Kouign Amann. The savoury, a September special - Everything Croissant, had cream cheese and herb filling between layers of buttery puff pastry. The sweet, or rather, mildly sweet Kouign Amann (pronounced quin-aman) was in the shape of a tight spiral with many clearly distinguishable layers and a beautiful caramelised crispy top, while the centre was firm yet melt-in-the-mouth. Finishing both in no time, we craved more and tried the Morning Bun. It’s a cruffin – where you get the best of both worlds - the crispness and lightness of a croissant in the shape of a muffin, with a dusting of cinnamon and sugar between the layers. This was a perfect finish for our coffees and the best way to jumpstart a dull mid-week morning!

Each item on their menu is a gem and should be tried. The servers are very friendly always with a smile and explain the dishes helping to choose. Overall, a great experience and highly...

I recently had the pleasure of trying Lune's croissants and pastries, and I must say, they are absolutely divine. The consistency of their croissants is remarkable, as I have visited their Armadale store multiple times and the experience has always been exceptional. The croissants are light, flaky, and bursting with flavor.

One of my personal favorites is the almond croissant. The combination of freshly roasted almonds on top, the flaky croissant they sit on, and the sweet and moist base is simply heavenly. Lune truly knows how to create a delicacy that is second to none in terms of quality and taste.

Although Lune's pastries are undeniably delightful, it's worth mentioning that they can be on the pricier side. As a result, I would recommend reserving these indulgences for special occasions or occasional treats.

In terms of service, I found the queues to be manageable, especially at the Armadale store. Although there may be a small line, it moves quite promptly, ensuring a seamless experience.

Overall, if you're searching for an authentic and indulgent croissant experience, Lune is definitely worth a visit. Their consistency, quality, and delicious flavors make it a must-try for any...

Really hyped location for the croissants so since we were in the area, took the liberty to try a few flavours.

WINNER for us was Kouign-amann whereby it was really crisp on the outside, airy on the inside. It was the perfect balance of sweet from the glaze and salt from the butter.

Almond croissant was another banger,, filling was really good, the crunch from the almonds on the outside tied the experience together.

Carbonara croissant tasted really good, cheese used was wonderful and tied the pastry together but it didn't really taste/ have texture like a croissant. Felt like a carbonara bun from a bakery.

Traditional croissant was not bad, but nothing special

Golden gate croissant (hazlenut chocolate),, honestly mid. Was not anything special, and did not really taste like the ice cream at all. Nice part was the golden gate crunch chocolate ontop.

Coffee was genuinely great, enjoyed it. Would reccomend a try, it would be a nice treat once in a while, but I don't think that I will go out of my way to come...

Firstly let’s just talk about how this place is so ambient with its minimalist style perfect to fitting the setting or Armadale, peaceful and inviting. Anyways we came to Lune for their croissants and it was heaven. The flakey buttery layers were so crisp and for me I got the shaker lemon pie which had a meringue on the top along with a lemony filling. The sourness of the lemon accompanied the flakey layers however I felt as more of the lemon was tasted with each bite rather than the flakey layers of the croissant acting as a part of the flavour. The staff were really kind though and they cleaned up for those who dinned in as well as created an inclusive environment. I did like my experience going to Lune however there was very limited croissants and pastries for sale. It was also very filling for me and felt too sugary for me so if you end up going to lune and aren’t the biggest sweet tooth, make sure to bring some water.
