I have to press a star so this can be post😡, We arrived at Mac’s Hotel at approximately 8:25 pm, waiting to be seated while it was not busy at all . The lady that greeted us was rude instead of saying “hello, how are you?” she went straight into letting us know that we needed to be quick to order because the kitchen was closing soon. I have history and experience in hospitality and I would never provide this kind of customer service to anyone. I had to calm my self because my kids were around at the time . When we ordered our meals, because the senior meals are a good portion, we we’re asked rudely if we had Senior Cards, and hence forced to pay for bigger meals which then went to waste. As we we’re just having our meals, the same male staff member that took our order, walked up to us, and said we have to be quick before 9:30PM as there is a strict rule about no kids being in the venue. I understand this completely, however, we we’re just enjoying our dinner, yet we had another 30min to finish up and go. When we also ordered our drinks at the bar, the female staff member that served us appeared to want us to leave by the way she served our drinks. No smile and not friendly at all, we felt like we we’re a burden. I’m hoping the owner reads this FEEDBACK! You are definitely going to lose customers if you allow this behaviour and bad customer service to continue with this type of staff. Read moreWent to the Mac Hotel for the first time as a group and was very disappointed. Went up to the counter to order, they took half the tables order paying by card, then all of a sudden the manager came out and said cash payments only. (Which in saying that, I’m pretty sure is illegal.) She said you have to order through the qr code on your table to pay by card. Went back to the table, took 5 mins to get the order up through the app and then came to a problem. I couldn’t order chips with veg with my meal through the app. So had to ask the wait staff, who had to call the manager. Waited for the manger to come out, who told me just to put them through as salad and chips and when it comes through to her she will change it manually. She then come out to confirm which meals had chips and veg because we had to put all through as chips and salad. So, if she would have just taken my order over the kiosk in the first place it would have only taken 2 mins not 15 and she wouldn’t have had to come out and confirm, as they would have been keyed in correct. In the meantime the rest of the tables food come out and ours was still being processed. So we had to wait 20mins behind the others for our food. So unprofessional. The wait staff were very polite and accommodating but the manager just seemed to make things difficult. Read moreQuite disappointed with the quality of my steak sandwich ordered. Half the steak was inedible due to massive veins/fat running through the steak, I couldn't even bite it. I also requested no onion and no tomato but the sandwich came with onion on it. Not a huge issue as I can remove it personally but not the point. I double checked my receipt and it didn't didn't say no tomato and no onion so not sure how it gets communicated to the kitchen. The girl who served me was very polite and read everything back correctly so I guess it's that last step with the kitchen where communication got messed up. My sister also ordered a chicken ceaser salad, again the server read back the order correct. When order arrived there was no chicken, it wasn't a huge deal, but we went and checked the receipt because well if you pay for something then you expect it. The chicken was never put through. This is not a complaint for the server as she double checked and read everything back correctly so unsure where and how the mistake was made. If I was rating on food quality only I would leave 3 stars, but your front of house servers deserve to be recognised so a 4th star...
