My daughter and I had brunch there today, ordered 2 big breakfasts they were great ordered lactose free ice coffee amd and lactose free ice chocolate with a half pump of hazelnut syrup they were both make with room temperature milk and no ice when we mentioned they were warm the young girl said she has always said there iced drinks are not made cold enough she took them to put ice in them 3 cubes each and they just melted instantly, then the guy came over and tried to explain that since we ordered lactose free everything that keeps the milk cold meaning ice cream in notcadded as it not lactose free it won't be cold, I told him that i understand that but I asked for an iced coffee not a warm one and he continued to mention again and again about the ice cream is what keeps it cold, I then told him I have never ordered an iced coffee that has never not had ice cubes in it even McDonalds put ice in there lactose free iced coffee, hen then went on to tell me I should have asked for an iced mocha and that would have ice in it to keep it cold , this guy prides himself over and over about running the same shop for around 20 years we heard him telling other customers then he decided to wrongly blame the wrong young girl that had nothing to do with our order or about 10 minutes mean while only girl that was making all the drinks wasn't spoken to talk about confusion all round , iced coffee not matter lactose or not needs to be cold not at room temperature the coffee girls should know this it's her only job there the owner just wouldn't led up he kept coming with trivial little things about our drinks he was a tad over the top all round, but in saying all that the...
Read moreI was recommended this cafe by a friend of mine and it was one that I also came across when scrolling through my feed. The food looked vibrant and I just knew I had to visit. We had the opportunity to visit for lunch during the week. They were busy, but there was no issue getting a table. We were warmly welcomed by staff and all of their staff members were friendly and attentive.
I decided to order their Falafel Bowl (Black quinoa, house made falafel, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, olives, hummus, spinach, fetta and pita bread) and their Burrito Bowl (Kafir lime leaf infused rice, Mexican spiced grilled sweet corn, tomato salsa, pinto beans, corn chips, avocado, cajun chicken tenders, lime and chipolte aoili). I knew that the kids would love to try a little bit of everything in these two bowls.
The order arrived promptly and both dishes were beautifully presented. Both kids tried a little bit of each element from the two dishes. Surprisingly, my daughter decided to have a new love for tomatoes and claimed them all. She also absolutely loved the falafel and wouldn’t accept cut up pieces. She had to claim two full balls and have one in each hand. I love how she explores with food. I also thoroughly enjoyed both dishes.
On our exit, my doughnut loving son spotted the doughnuts, so we grabbed a couple to try. The flavours were delicious and decadent. This is definitely one place you...
Read moreA conflicting review to write, but I had to share my experience at Momentum cafe. I ordered a serve of smashed avo with a side of two sunny side up eggs as well as a coffee. Coffee was hot and delicious, eggs were great, but the smashed avo had clearly seen better days. It’s at this point as a 37 week pregnant woman who has slept for a total of about 3 hours that you have two choices to make- you could let loose every inch of pregnant rage on this sub par meal and anyone within earshot … or you could hope and pray for the intervention of an angel without wings to talk you down just off the ledge haha. So in steps Selina. The front of house generally at momentum cafe were polite and informative but Selina worked so hard to make sure I had a positive experience, exchanging my meal and when I still couldn’t stomach it (had the same toast and eggs returned cold with some more cold avocado that still didn’t seem right and some pickled veges that were turning black). Her respectful perseverance resulted in me still walking out a very happy customer despite the brekky debacle, and me trying to just forget it ever happened. She was empathetic and offered me an alternative menu and a couple of hot drinks for free. Full tummy and full heart, the chefs here could probably learn a thing or two from their wonderful coworkers....
