Ballem Park, a hidden gem within the urban landscape, captivates visitors with its unique blend of natural beauty and thoughtful design. Nestled at the heart of the city, this park offers a refreshing retreat from the daily grind.

The park's landscape is a symphony of colors and textures, with vibrant flower beds and towering trees creating a picturesque backdrop. Well-maintained walking paths wind through the greenery, providing a tranquil setting for leisurely strolls or energetic jogs. The attention to detail extends to the playground, where children's laughter harmonizes with the rustling leaves.

Ballem Park's appeal is not just visual; it engages the senses. The fragrance of blooming flowers wafts through the air, enhancing the sensory experience. Strategically placed benches invite visitors to pause and immerse themselves in the peaceful ambiance.

As the sun sets, the park transforms into a magical haven. Subtle lighting accentuates key features, casting a warm glow over the landscape. It's a haven for both families and individuals seeking solace or a place to connect with nature in the heart of the city.

Ballem Park, with its harmonious fusion of aesthetics and functionality, stands as a testament to urban planning that prioritizes the well-being of its community, making it a cherished destination for locals and a pleasant surprise...

Ballam park is great for walking your dog, it has leash free area's and pooh bag's and bins are provided along the way making it easy to pick up our doggy dropings. There are always improvements happening at Ballam park, currently they are putting in a dog trick arena. There are water bowls around the park for our doggies to have a drink. Every body I've ever met on my walks have been very pleasant and friendly. A great place to meet other dog owner's if that's what you'd like. On the other spectrum, there is amazing, and I mean amazingly amazing playground equipment for the kid's. I've used map my walk app and to walk the circle around the whole park is approx 2 kilometres. There are plenty of sport's activities at different time's if you're inclined to watch, with an amazing athletics track. There is ample car parking spread throughout various place's at the park. It's usually full of families having fun with thier children on the state of the art playground. And depending on what time you are there, you can catch some awesome skies and sunsets, sometimes even catch a rainbow or two. There are some amazingly huge beautiful tree's. Lovely to take a picnic blanket, a good book and sit under one of the huge tree's. I'm so happy I found Ballam park, it's truly a...

Update: have now taken the kids a few times. Love the nee equipment and they had a ball. They especially enjoyed riding their scooters around the paths and using the little jumps and the flying fox.

I've seen some of the new bit but the kids aren't too interested in it. It feels like a nice relaxing area. Will miss the old playground though. Been using that since I was a kid, glad mine got to use it before it was taken down.

Nice that the Ice cream man is regularly parked down there for some treats and coffee.

Toilets are well maintained, easy to access.

Paths go all around the play ground and are concrete for wheelchair access.

Great place for a picnic!

Previously: Haven't had the chance to try it myself since the remodel but the kids have gone with the Grandparents and seem to love it, so that's good enough for me. Has always been a wonderful place to visit and we are so lucky to have such a good park in the area. Happy that the upkeep is always on point and that it does seem to be respected by the community. Well go and see what the new additions are like soon and possibly edit...

A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING FOR ALL! A BIG PLAYGROUND WITH JUST ABOUT EVERY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT YOU COULD IMAGINE. SLIDES, ROPES, MONKEYBARS, TRAMPOLINES, SKATE PARK, BASKETBALL COURT, ROCK CLIMBING WALL, SWINGS, FLYING FOX, ETC! THERE'S AMPLE PICNIC TABLES AND BBQ FACILTIES, AND A SIZEABLE PARK AREA WITH SHADY TREES. A SMALLER KIDS' WATER/SAND PARK, FAIRY GARDEN AND TOILETS AND DRINK FOUNTAINS TOO. CLOSE PROXIMITY TO RUNNING TRACK ALSO. I HAVE SEEN FOOD TRUCKS AND COFFEE CARTS AND MR.WHIPPY ON OCCASIONS, DEPENDING ON WHEN YOU GO. PLENTY OF STREET CARPARKING.

It's HUGE! Sitting on 10s of acres it has 2 massive playgrounds, athletics track and field facilities, 2 soccer ovals, 2 football/cricket ovals, cricket nets, an original old homestead, scouts hall, the whole area outside of the ovals and playgrounds is off leash for dogs including a massive dedicated off leash area that's bigger than an oval. And unlike Donna's claim in her review 2 weeks prior from this one, it does have dog poo bins with bags provided. There's actually 4 of them all up.
