It’s been a while since we dined in so we thought we should try it again. Wow. Sometimes you go back to a place for the great food but sometimes you go back for the great service - it’s rare to find both. The young lady front of house is excellent. We ordered bhajis, tandoori tasting platter and I ordered the beef vindalo. My wife ordered the kerala fish curry. We ordered a lge rice and raita just in case it was too spicy. First we struggled to finish the entrees. 2 pieces of tandoori chicken, 2 spicy kebabs and 1 fat lamb cutlet plus the bhajis that were big. The tandoori meats were tasty and very tender. The bhajis were mixed vegetables fried crisp and of course there were free papadams with sauces. The young lady offered to bag the bhajis we couldn’t finish and suggested maybe a small rice should replace the big (she was right). We followed her advice. The kerala fish curry was something we had never tasted before and it was superb. It also was big enough to feed 2. The beef vindaloo was good with just enough heat. We couldn’t finish but that wasn’t a problem as trays to take the leftovers were offered. Thanks to the whole team we promise we will be back and...

Read moreThis is a decent sized restaurant for its location. We've ordered from here before a long time ago and I wasn't too impressed. After reading the reviews I thought I'd give it another go in case they've improved. We ordered two curries today, the gravy in the shahi kofta was ok, a little sweeter than it should be, but the kofta itself was quite bad. It seemed cooked from a frozen state and had lost its quality. The other dish we ordered was the vegetable korma and this dish was horrible. The veges were chunky as in not even chopped properly prior to cooking and they were almost raw when served. They had not at all absorbed the flavour from the curry, which itself was bland, lacked salt or other spices that would make it flavoursome. The portion sizes for the price they charge is also quite small so I'd consider the place expensive as compared to the quality...
